<h2>**JOB DUTIES:</h2>**<ul><li>Design glass melting equipment in SolidWorks. Analyze equipment performance through flow, heat transfer, and fatigue modeling software. Develop 2D drawings, BOM list, and Job Instruction Documents.</li><li>Business liaison to Germany “central services” as it pertains to platinum.</li><li>Business “custodian” for platinum (legal representative for government and financial auditors)</li><li>Order raw earth materials including but not limited to Platinum and Iridium.</li><li>Order refractory and insulation materials.</li><li>Order CNC tools and various mold making equipment.</li><li>Organize shop storage areas utilizing SAP.</li><li>Forecast platinum usage, consumption, and recycling plan.</li><li>Supervise union workforce. Work force includes welders, masons, and CNC machine operators.</li><li>Attend daily melting direction setting meetings.</li><li>Help troubleshoot melting issues as it pertains to melting equipment fabrication and maintenance.</li><li>Assist technicians during equipment installations through start-up qualifications.</li><li>Capable of performing FAI (First Article Inspections) on melting equipment.</li><li>Knowledgeable of CoC’s (Certificates of Conformance) and how they apply to the equipment in the department.</li></ul>QUALIFICATIONS (Minimum):<ul><li>Bachelor of Science degree in one of the following technical areas.- Mechanical Engineering<ul><li>Material Sciences</li><li>Welding Engineering</li><li>If lessor degrees, equivalent combination of education and +7 years of relevant experience.</li></ul></li><li>Minimum
1 year of hands-on experience
in Solid Works design and modeling.- Knowledgeable of FEA analysis<ul><li>2D drawing and assembly creation</li><li>BOM creation</li><li>Knowledgeable of design tolerancing</li></ul></li><li>Minimum of 1 year of welding technology experience (preferred)</li><li>Minimum of 1 year of refractory cutting, molding, and applications experience (preferred)</li><li>Minimum of 1 year of CNC programming and/or tool and tie experience.</li><li>Minimum of 1 year of supervisory leadership experience (preferred)</li><li>Advanced knowledge of MS Office products</li><li>Basic knowledge of SAP and/or Oracle Software</li></ul>You should be proficient in:<ul><li>Welding Setups for Production</li><li>Blueprint Reading</li></ul>
