Job Descriptions - Human Resources Department Revised on 5/3/2023 Position: Reading Language Specialist Department/Campus: Campus Reports to: Principal FLSA Status: Exempt Pay Grade: Teacher Job Type: Full Time Work Hours / Days: Normal School hours / 189 days JOB GOAL Provides students with research-based learning activities and experiences designed to fulfill their potential for intellectual, emotional, physical, and social growth in small group settings POSITION QUALIFICATIONS: o Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university o Minimum two years of experience supporting K-2 ELAR and/or ESL classrooms (preferred) o Texas Teacher certificate appropriate for level and subject area of assignment (preferred) o ESL/Bilingual certification (preferred) DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: o Understands and supports the mission, vision and values of Harmony Public Schools. o Ability to use effective organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills o Ability to use computer including software, database used by the district, spreadsheet and word processing software, calculator, copy machine and telephone.
