Job Functions: The Service Technician will inspect the truck and keep it clean along with maintaining the inventory of materials, tools, equipment and hardware needed to perform the assigned daily. Position ObjectiveThe basic function of the Service Technician is to assist the Lead Service Technician to complete repairs to the specification of manufacturers and customers’ satisfaction.

<p><b>Description</b></p><div style="line-height:13.5pt;background:white"><b><u>Position Identification</u></b></div><div style="background:white">Non-Exempt </div><div>Reports to: The Service Technician is accountable to and derives authority from the Lead Service Technician.    </div><div style="background:white"> </div><div style="line-height:13.5pt;background:white"><b><u>Position Objective</u></b></div><div style="line-height:13.5pt;background:white">The basic function of the Service Technician is to assist the Lead Service Technician to complete repairs to the specification of manufacturers and customers’ satisfaction.   </div><div style="text-align:justify"> </div><div style="text-align:justify"><b><u>Job Functions: </u></b></div><ul style="margin-top:0px"><li>The Service Technician will inspect the truck and keep it clean along with maintaining the inventory of materials, tools, equipment and hardware needed to perform the assigned daily.</li><li>The Service Technician will be responsible for setting up and utilizing safety. </li><li>The Service Technician will learn the different types of roofing systems, their components, the materials and tools used to repair them.</li><li>The Service Technician will learn to use those materials and tools to make the repairs required.</li><li>Assume designated responsibilities of the Service Technician in his/her absence.</li></ul><div style="background:white"><b><u>Knowledge, Skills & Experience (Essential)</u></b></div><ul style="margin-top:0px"><li>The Service Technician should have excellent customer service abilities.</li><li>The Service Technician should have working knowledge of and/or experience with roof system types. </li><li> The Service Technician should have a willingness to learn how to properly diagnose and repair all roof systems. </li><li>Must be able to work with and learn from fellow technicians and lead techs.</li></ul><div style="background:white"><b><u>Knowledge, Skills & Experience (Desirable)</u></b></div><ul style="margin-top:0px"><li>High School Diploma or equivalent, preferred.</li><li>Knowledge of roofing details, manufacturer specifications and repair procedures as defined by the NRCA.</li><li>Proficiency with Tablets and Software such as Microsoft AX / Field Service Administration.</li></ul><div><b><u>Key Competencies</u></b><u> </u></div><ul style="margin-top:0px"><li>Excellent attendance</li><li>Above average customer service skills</li><li>Attention to personal appearance/dress code </li><li>Good communication skills</li><li>Well organized; able to keep truck and tools neat, clean and organized </li><li>Initiative</li><li>Integrity</li><li>Adaptability</li><li>Willingness to learn</li></ul><div><b><u>Occupational Health and Safety</u></b></div><div>Employees are responsible and accountable for:</div><ul style="margin-top:0px"><li>Compliance with workplace policies and procedures for risk identification, risk assessment and risk control </li><li>Active participation in activities associated with the management of workplace health and safety </li><li>Identification and reporting of health and safety risks, accidents, incidents, injuries and property damage at the workplace </li><li>Correct utilization of appropriate personal protective equipment</li></ul><div><b><u>Working Conditions</u></b></div><div><em><u>Physical surroundings</u></em>: Field environment with exposure to heights, noise, dangerous objects, and wide variations in temperature. </div><div><em><u>Physical Effort</u></em><em>: </em>Extensive standing, walking, climbing ladders.
