<h2>Job Title: RN – Long Term Acute Care (LTAC)</h2><p><strong>Location:</strong> Columbia, MO<br/><strong>Duration:</strong> 13 Weeks<br/><strong>Schedule:</strong> Nights – 36 Hours Weekly</p><h3>Compensation:</h3><ul><li><strong>Traveler Pay:</strong> $52–$55/hr ($1,794–$1,897/week) based on experience</li><li><strong>Local Pay:</strong> $45–$48/hr ($1,552–$1,656/week) based on experience</li></ul><h2>Position Overview:</h2><p>We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Long Term Acute Care (LTAC) to provide exceptional nursing care for medically complex patients in a high-acuity healthcare environment. The ideal candidate will have experience managing ventilators, tracheostomies, IV drips, and critically ill patients while collaborating with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to support quality patient outcomes.</p><h2>Responsibilities:</h2><ul><li>Perform comprehensive patient assessments for medically complex LTAC patients</li><li>Monitor and manage ventilators, tracheostomies, IV drips, and other advanced patient care treatments</li><li>Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians</li><li>Monitor patient vital signs, laboratory results, cardiac rhythms, and responses to treatment</li><li>Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, rehabilitation staff, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams</li><li>Maintain accurate patient documentation and clinical records</li><li>Assess and respond appropriately to changes in patient condition</li><li>Deliver compassionate, patient-centered care in a fast-paced acute care environment</li><li>Ensure compliance with patient safety, infection prevention, and quality care standards</li><li>Educate patients and families regarding care plans and recovery goals</li></ul><h2>Required Qualifications:</h2><h3>Licensure & Certifications:</h3><ul><li>Active Missouri RN License or Compact RN License</li><li>Current AHA BLS Certification required</li></ul><h3>Experience:</h3><ul><li>Minimum 1–2 years of LTAC nursing experience required</li><li>Experience caring for critically ill or medically complex patients preferred</li></ul><h3>Skills & Competencies:</h3><ul><li>Strong critical-thinking and clinical assessment skills</li><li>Experience with ventilator and tracheostomy patient care</li><li>Knowledge of cardiac monitoring and IV medication administration</li><li>Excellent communication and teamwork abilities</li><li>Ability to multitask and work effectively in a high-acuity environment</li><li>Commitment to delivering high-quality patient care</li></ul><p>For more details reach at jknox@navitashealth.com or Call / Text at 732-791-4827.</p><p>About Navitas Healthcare, LLC: It is a certified WBENC and one of the fastest-growing healthcare staffing firms in the US providing Medical, Clinical and Non-Clinical services to numerous hospitals.
