Summary The Quality & Safety Manager is responsible for leading the facility’s quality assurance, safety, and compliance programs. This role oversees the Quality & Safety Technicians and ensures all products meet customer specifications, regulatory requirements, and internal standards. The Manager drives continuous improvement initiatives, leads root‑cause investigations, maintains compliance systems (including ISO), and partners closely with production and leadership to strengthen quality and safety culture across the plant. Primary Duties & Responsibilities Leadership & Team Management<ul><li style="margin-left:8px">Supervise, coach, and develop Quality & Safety Technicians.</li><li style="margin-left:8px">Manage daily priorities, work assignments, and oversight of inspections, audits, and testing activities.</li><li style="margin-left:8px">Conduct performance evaluations and ensure technician training.</li><li style="margin-left:8px">Champion a proactive, prevention‑focused mindset in quality and safety.</li></ul>Quality Assurance & Systems Ownership<ul><li style="margin-left:8px">Own the Quality Management System (QMS).</li><li style="margin-left:8px">Review and approve testing protocols, sampling plans, and procedures.</li><li style="margin-left:8px">Monitor production quality performance and present findings.</li><li style="margin-left:8px">Ensure calibration and maintenance of testing equipment.</li><li style="margin-left:8px">Partner with teams to drive corrective and preventive actions.</li></ul>Nonconformance, CAPA & ISO Compliance<ul><li style="margin-left:8px">Oversee NCR process, review reports, and ensure timely closure.</li><li style="margin-left:8px">Lead root cause investigations and verify CAPA effectiveness.</li><li style="margin-left:8px">Maintain ISO documentation, audits, and certification requirements.</li><li style="margin-left:8px">Train staff on ISO and documentation expectations.</li><li style="margin-left:8px">Support customer audits and corrective actions.</li></ul>Safety & Environmental Compliance<ul><li style="margin-left:8px">Oversee safety inspections, hazard assessments, and compliance.</li><li style="margin-left:8px">Ensure OSHA compliance including LOTO, PPE, forklift safety, and chemical handling.</li><li style="margin-left:8px">Lead incident investigations and corrective actions.</li><li style="margin-left:8px">Maintain safety records and environmental documentation.</li><li style="margin-left:8px">Support training and emergency preparedness.</li></ul>Customer & Regulatory Support<ul><li style="margin-left:8px">Act as primary contact for customer quality and compliance issues.</li><li style="margin-left:8px">Review and approve regulatory documentation.</li><li style="margin-left:8px">Participate in customer visits and audits.</li><li style="margin-left:8px">Ensure timely and accurate customer responses.</li></ul>Perform all other duties as assigned. Education, Experience, Skills/Abilities Required<ul><li style="margin-left:8px">Bachelor’s degree in Quality, Engineering, Operations, Safety, or related field (or equivalent experience).</li><li style="margin-left:8px">3–5+ years in manufacturing quality or safety roles; corrugated industry preferred.</li><li style="margin-left:8px">Experience leading teams or supervising staff.</li><li style="margin-left:8px">Strong knowledge of QMS, NCR/CAPA, and quality tools.</li><li style="margin-left:8px">Understanding of OSHA safety programs.</li><li style="margin-left:8px">Proficiency in Microsoft Office.</li></ul>Preferred<ul><li style="margin-left:8px">ISO 9001 internal auditor certification.</li><li style="margin-left:8px">Lean/Six Sigma certification.</li><li style="margin-left:8px">Experience with GMA, ISTA, or packaging standards.</li><li style="margin-left:8px">OSHA 30, CPR/First Aid, or similar certifications.</li></ul> Physical & Travel Requirements<ul><li style="margin-left:8px">Prolonged periods of sitting, working on a computer, and attending meetings.</li><li style="margin-left:8px">Ability to walk, stand, kneel, and perform inspections as needed throughout the facility.</li><li style="margin-left:8px">Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.</li><li style="margin-left:8px">Up to 25% travel for audits, training, and supplier/customer site visits.</li></ul> EE Statement L&M Corrugated Container Corporation is an equal opportunity employer.  Powered by JazzHR

Job duties include:• Work cooperatively with leads and management to ensure sanitation procedures are followed. • Frequently lift hoses, equipment, and chemical containers, etc. • Wear employer-specified personal protective equipment ("PPE") such as gloves, face shield, eye goggles, aprons, boots, safety glasses, etc. • Exposure to chemicals (with PPE required for the task). • All night standing, lifting, and crouching for periods at a time. • Perform all tasks safely. • Use Lock-out tag-out ("LOTO"). • Other duties as assigned.   YOUR MUST HAVES: Must be 18 years of age or older.Ability to take direction and instruction from managers and be accountable for own actions.Safety awareness and attention to detail.Ability to work in extreme temperature fluctuations. OUR ENVIRONMENT:This position would involve you to be in a wet, hot, and or cold environment, while wearing Personal Protective Equipment ("PPE").
