Job Summary: The Manager Food Safety & Quality Assurance (FSQA) is responsible for the daily management of all activities of the FSQA department to include food safety programs specification adherence and product quality for products within their assigned facility. Essential Duties, Responsibilities: Daily oversight of production practices including raw material receiving requirements; preoperational and operational sanitation; finished product quality and Food Safety Systems; Insuring all our FSQA policies and procedures are followed.

<div style="text-align:justify"><div style="text-align:left"><strong style="font-family:'calibri' , 'helvetica' , sans-serif;text-align:justify"> Job Summary:</strong></div> The Manager Food Safety & Quality Assurance (FSQA) is responsible for the daily management of all activities of the FSQA department to include food safety programs specification adherence and product quality for products within their assigned facility. In addition, the FSQA Manager will oversee all special projects as assigned departmental budgets turnover and safety.<br/><strong> Essential Duties, Responsibilities:</strong><ul><li> Daily oversight of production practices including raw material receiving requirements; preoperational and operational sanitation; finished product quality and Food Safety Systems;</li><li> Insuring all our FSQA policies and procedures are followed</li><li> Monitoring verification and documentation associated with adherence to government regulations; developing implementing and maintaining the HACCP and SSOP based inspection programs</li><li> Ensuring finished product conforms to customer product and label specifications</li><li> Report product issues and audit results to plant and corporate FSQA, plant management, corporate, sales, and operations</li><li> Interacting with customers and their agents for product showings plant tours and audits; visits to customer facilities initial product runs and investigation response to quality related customer complaints</li><li> Monitoring microbiological results conducting bacterial swabs and investigations.</li><li> Performing research and development activities conducting and promoting sanitation training and education to employees</li><li> Responsible for implementing and maintaining food safety and quality programs and for the selecting training and managing of FSQA Supervisors and FSQA Technicians.</li></ul><strong> REQUIREMENTS:</strong><ul><li><strong> Education & Experience</strong> :<ul><li> No degree with a minimum of 10 years of FSQA experience.</li><li> B.S. degree or above in Food Science or related field with a minimum of 3 years' experience working in FSQA.</li></ul></li><li> Experience with SQF or BRC audits preferred.</li><li><strong> Computer Skills</strong> : Standard computer skills required; generating spreadsheets and develop templates for use by plant management and corporate FSQA sales and operations.</li><li><strong> Communication Skills</strong> : Excellent communication skills required both written and verbal demonstrating the proven ability to correspond with all levels - line team members to corporate management.</li><li><strong> Special Skills</strong> : Must have good problem identification and problem-solving skills. Must be able to work independently yet interact with many different facets within the organization and be the plant liaison to USDA. Supervisory: Manage crewing labor and attendance of the FSQA department.</li></ul></div>

Overview:
<p style="text-align:justify">To develop, coordinate and administer all Human Resources processes, policies, and procedures. To ensure effective programs in support of the strategic business objectives of HEXPOL.</p>

Responsibilities:
<ul><li style="text-align:justify">Manage recruitment, selection process and new hire orientation for all Associates.</li><li style="text-align:justify">Respond to Associate inquiries and advise/mentor Management to appropriate resolution of Associate-related issues.</li><li style="text-align:justify">Counsel Associates regarding job-related issues, policies, procedures, and disciplinary actions including terminations.</li><li style="text-align:justify">Provide final approval of bi-weekly payroll utilizing HRIS and AOD/ADP timekeeping systems.</li><li style="text-align:justify">Administer Benefit Programs conducting Open Enrollment meetings and assisting Associates.</li><li style="text-align:justify">Coordinate Associate Relations Events/Programs to promote Associate morale, motivation, and foster relationships.</li><li style="text-align:justify">Work directly with Environmental Health and Safety Manager or designee on Workers' Compensation, OSHA Safety needs.</li><li style="text-align:justify">Prepare various internal and external reports/data as requested by Management and represent Human Resources for internal external ISO audits.</li><li style="text-align:justify">Prepare various communications to keep Associates informed of relevant information.</li><li style="text-align:justify">Participate in relevant training opportunities to maintain knowledge of industry trends and employment legislation.</li><li style="text-align:justify">Supervise the personnel of the Human Resource department, if applicable.</li><li style="text-align:justify">Travel to other HEXPOL locations may be required.</li><li style="text-align:justify">Perform any other project/task as assigned by Management.</li></ul>

Qualifications:
<ul><li style="text-align:justify">Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources or Business Administration, Management. Experience may be considered in lieu of education.</li><li style="text-align:justify">SPHR or PHR and/or SHRM-CP Certificate, preferred.</li><li style="text-align:justify">Seven (7) years of leadership experience in Human Resource position, preferably in a manufacturing environment.</li><li style="text-align:justify">Ability to handle personal and confidential information.</li><li style="text-align:justify">Proficient written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.</li><li style="text-align:justify">Proficient computer/systems skills - MS Office (Excel/Word/PowerPoint/Outlook).</li><li style="text-align:justify">Solid organizational and prioritization skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks, meet tight deadlines, and manage a broad range of responsibilities.</li><li style="text-align:justify">High degree of concentration, attention to detail, high energy, self-motivated and self-reliant.</li><li style="text-align:justify">Ability to manage, coach and develop Associates.</li><li style="text-align:justify">Ability to interact well with all personality types in a leadership role.</li><li style="text-align:justify">Strong cooperation, collaboration, and team-building skills.</li><li style="text-align:justify">Effective analytical and problem-solving skills with an emphasis on continuous improvement.</li></ul>
