Additional responsibilities include: Oversee daily security functions, including patrols, surveillance, and incident response and provides ongoing feedback; manage security personnel: hiring, training, scheduling, and performance evaluations; ensure coverage for all museum hours, special events, and after-hours activities; work closely with museum leadership, facilities teams, and external agencies to ensure a safe environment for staff and visitors; supplements security officer positions as required to maintain an appropriate level of security for the museum and routinely tours the facility. Maintain and monitor security systems such as CCTV, access control, burglar alarms, fire alarms, and emergency notification systems; coordinate with IT and facilities teams to ensure systems are up-to-date and functioning properly; conduct regular audits of security infrastructure and recommend upgrades as needed; implement emergency response plans for fire, natural disasters, theft, and other threats; lead drills for staff on evacuation procedures and crisis response.
