Must successfully pass a written examination, physical agility test consisting of a timed one mile run, push-ups, sit-ups and agility test, review by an oral board, physical/medical examination, extensive background investigation, and MMPI. Observe and identify unsafe roadway or environmental conditions (e.g., debris, obstructions, icy bridges, flooding, damaged pavement, or traffic control devices) and take appropriate action or report conditions for correction.
