Under the direction of the Attending Physician, conducts minor procedures as needed including insertion and removal of central venous catheters, chest tubes, indwelling venous and arterial catheters, venous punctures, arterial punctures, nasogastric tubes, bladder catheters, lumbar punctures, endotracheal intubations, PIC lines, and bedside ultrasonography. Physician Assistant License from Louisiana State Board of Medical Examiners and Certification by a recognized national professional accrediting organization; Current BLS Certification; NCCPA-National Commission on Certification of Physician''s Assistants, Patient Care.
