NOTE: Applicants with a bachelors degree in engineering technology or in an appropriate professional field, e.g., physics, chemistry, architecture, computer science, mathematics, hydrology, or geology, must provide a written statement describing the extensive training plan he/she has completed to develop professional engineering competence, or how their several years of engineering-type experience has provided them with the professional knowledge of engineering, which is defined as the comprehensive, in-depth knowledge of mathematical, physical, & engineering sciences applicable to a specialty field of engineering that characterizes a full 4-year professional engineering curriculum leading to a bachelors degree, or the equivalent. The courses must be fully acceptable toward meeting the requirements of a professional engineering curriculum as described in paragraph A. -RELATED CURRICULUM- Successful completion of a curriculum leading to a bachelors degree in engineering technology or in an appropriate professional field, e.g., physics, chemistry, architecture, computer science, mathematics, hydrology, or geology, may be accepted in lieu of a degree in engineering, provided the applicant has had at least 1 year of professional engineering experience acquired under professional engineering supervision & guidance.
