The sampler/technician is responsible for obtaining samples of grain from rail cars, trucks and bins using methods prescribed by USDA-FGIS. Assists in laboratory with processing samples.

Job SummaryThe sampler/technician is responsible for obtaining samples of grain from rail cars, trucks and bins using methods prescribed by USDA-FGIS. Correctly identify each sample and return to lab. Assists in laboratory with processing samples. Regular hours are from Monday to Friday from 7:00am to 3:30pm. Mandatory days will require you to come on the weekends and possibly do 8+ hours.   Primary Duties and Responsibilities-        Assist with loading/unloading trucks.-        Assist with loading/unloading railcars.-        May assist with grain handling.-        Punctual and regular attendance is an essential job function. Required Skills Skills/Qualifications-        Seld motivated-        Must be able to follow verbal and written instructions-        Great work ethic-        Must have knowledge of and understand the personnel and safety policies of the company. Working Conditions-        Be able to pick up samples close or far distance-        Working outside for a period-        Working in any weather condition (rain,snow,hot, etc….)-        Being able to pick up heavy things Physical Requirements-        Can pick up 12 ft probe-        Can stand for a long period of time-        Can get on top of railcars-        Be able to work outside with all weather conditions-        Can pick up from anything 50+ pounds  Required Experience
