Including, but not limited to, refaxing orders, communicating with facilities, veterans, and various VES departments; - Communicating, through managerial staff, ways in which various departments could improve performance to ensure the completion of VES cases in the best possible manner; - Provide assistance to various individuals in other VES departments directly in relation to specific VES cases; - Occasionally convincing veterans verbally over the phone to complete required testing when it falls outside of their availability; - Maintain facility information and obtain up- to- date contact information for facilities in order to execute a cohesive scheduling process; - Continued monitoring of improvements in ICD10 coding, to certify that veterans are being seen for correct diagnosis; - Other duties as assigned. Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: - High levels of organization, time management, job prioritization, multi- tasking and interpersonal skills necessary to provide effective work atmosphere and to develop as well as to maintain a productive working relationship with staff members, veterans, physicians and VA; - Effective and concise communication skills necessary to provide information in a courteous and comprehensive fashion (oral and written) with the goal of positive resolution(s); - Proficient working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and Power Point; - Advanced multi- tasking skills; - Knowledge of medical terminology; - Knowledge of company policies and procedures.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: - Search veteran cases in assigned regions within OMS; - Call or email providers to request exam time availability and schedule examinations; - Coordinate with traveling providers to conduct examinations in high volume areas; - Notify veterans if providers call to reschedule; - Add and remove provider block times into OMS when necessary; - Daily check and schedule cases that are assigned the Pending Follow- Up Schedule Status; - Always ensure the appropriate scheduler is assigned to the correct case; - Ask the VA for approval if veteran resides farther out than contractual mileage limitations; - Communicate with Call Center, Cappers, Veteran Liaisons, Diagnostics, and PRC Departments when needed; - Cross- train in other areas when employees are not in the office. Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: - Intermediate knowledge of pertinent medical terminology; - Advanced verbal and interpersonal skills; - Advanced written communication skills, to include excellent grammar; - Advanced reading and comprehension abilities; - Advanced analytical skills and detail- oriented; - Advanced multi- tasking skills; - Advanced organizational and prioritization skills, with strong ability to meet strict deadlines; - Proficient typing skills; and - Proficient with Microsoft Word, Microsoft Outlook, Adobe Acrobat, general internet research, and beginner knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
