This role prioritizes molds, machines, and work centers to support safe, efficient, and cost‑effective operations. The Production Scheduler evaluates demand, capacity, inventory positions, and operational constraints to determine the most efficient course of action. Scheduling decisions directly influence purchasing, inventory levels, labor utilization, and service outcomes, making this role critical to overall site performance. The position operates under general supervision and reports to the Material Control Manager (or Supervisor of Scheduling and Inventory, as applicable). Key Responsibilities Production Scheduling & Planning + Develop, maintain, and execute a well‑planned production schedule to meet customer ship date requirements + Prioritize molds, machines, and work orders to maximize machine efficiency and plant utilization + Enter, release, prioritize, re‑sequence, increase, or decrease work orders across work centers to maintain schedule integrity + Run Order Processing for all scheduled work orders + Update and publish online production schedules daily + Modify production schedules as needed to address customer priorities, capacity constraints, and weekend or extended schedules + Ensure Not Scheduled time is recorded accurately Inventory, MRP & Materials Management + Review MRP messages daily to identify open and upcoming production orders + Create and delete work orders to align production with demand + Maintain appropriate safety stock levels for finished goods to support the master production plan + Monitor inventory levels to ensure proper cycling of molds and printers + Prepare and execute run‑out plans for slow‑moving or discontinued inventory to minimize obsolete stock + Maintain master data for assigned planner items + Sub‑parts lists to optimize material consumption and inventory utilization + Coordinate intercompany transfer planning and execution as required Downtime & Operational Coordination + Manage planned downtime events such as holidays, shutdowns, and maintenance in coordination with Operations and Maintenance + Monitor and communicate unplanned downtime through Daily Line Update Reports + Work cross‑functionally to adjust schedules in response to equipment availability, labor constraints, or supply interruptions + Coordinate outsourcing and subcontractor utilization as needed Customer & Cross‑Functional Collaboration + Work closely with Customer Service Representatives to acknowledge order dates and resolve order‑related issues + Provide order status and production reports to Sales, Operations, and Supply Chain as required + Collaborate with Manufacturing, Quality, Shipping, and other departments to identify and support performance improvement initiatives Capacity, Performance & Reporting + Provide management with capacity, utilization, and production planning insights for assigned work centers + Track, analyze, and support achievement of key performance indicators (KPIs), including: + Ship to Promise + Days on Hand (DOH) + Obsolete inventory + Production schedule variance + Order cycle time + Plant utilization + Provide analytical insight to support data‑driven decision‑making and continuous improvement Systems, Tools & Continuous Improvement + Proficiently utilize ERP and scheduling tools , including JDE and Logility + Maintain data accuracy and integrity across scheduling, inventory, and order management systems + Assist Supply Chain Management with special assignments and initiatives + Support and maintain learning and development initiatives that enable internal skill growth Safety, Quality & Compliance + Follow, promote, and enforce all Amcor safety, environmental, health, and quality standards + Ensure production schedules and planning activities support GMP compliance + Promote a culture of safety, accountability, and operational discipline Qualifications Required + Proven experience in production scheduling within a manufacturing environment + Ability to solve problems using analysis, judgment, and creativity + Proficiency in computer‑based scheduling, inventory, and reporting systems + Strong analytical, organizational, and time‑management skills + Excellent written and verbal communication skills + Ability to work effectively across functions in a dynamic, fast‑paced environment Preferred + 2–3 years of experience in materials planning and inventory management or equivalent manufacturing experience + Bachelor’s degree preferred + Production manufacturing background + Exposure to Customer Service, Quality, Shipping, and Supply Chain operations + Experience using ERP/MRP systems (JDE preferred) Key Skills & Competencies + Strong analytical and planning capability + High attention to detail and data accuracy + Ability to manage competing priorities and changing demands + Customer‑focused and results‑driven mindset + Professional communication and collaboration skills + Understanding of the financial and operational impact of scheduling decisions + Ability to influence outcomes without direct authority Work Environment + Office‑based role with frequent interaction with manufacturing operations + Fast‑paced, deadline‑driven manufacturing environment + Requires flexibility to respond to changes in demand, capacity, and operational constraints + Strict adherence to Amcor safety, quality, and compliance standards is mandatory Amcor Commitment Amcor is committed to safety, quality, operational excellence, and continuous improvement. Under the direction of the Staffing Manager, coordinates scheduling of all Home Care Aides/Geriatric Caregivers and Home Care LPNs designated to care for PACE participants to ensure adequate and safe staffing within the confines of established staffing patterns and the Union contract. Responsible for accurate record keeping regarding hours worked, call-ins, absences, etc. and bringing concerns to the attention of the Staffing Manager and Home Care Manager.

Responsibilities:
Job duties specific to this position:<ul><li>Schedules Geriatric Care Givers and Home Care LPNs to meet the needs of PACE participants as determined by the care plan/orders.</li><li>Daily evaluates and adjusts staffing to ensure appropriate participant care as outlined in each individual’s care plan/orders.</li><li>Works to cover all call-offs of Geriatric Care Givers and Home Care LPNs in a timely manner and reports issues to Staffing Manager.</li><li>Carefully processes all changes in services for participants as ordered by the PACE Team, and ensures aide and nursing visits are scheduled accordingly.</li><li>Communicates accurately with nurses, Geriatric Care Givers/Contract Agencies, Home Care Managers and PACE administration to cover open shifts.</li><li>Answers phone promptly and exhibits telephone courtesy for a high volume of calls. Greets callers positively and with proper identification.</li><li>Tracks all calls coming in to the department via call log.</li><li>Communicates professionally and appropriately with all contacts.</li><li>Communicates extensively with aides, participants and their families, Staffing Manager, Director of Patient Services, Day Center Supervisor, Home Care Manager, and the Home Care Agency to achieve appropriate staffing.</li><li>Reports problems/issues i.e., union grievances, staff complaints/issues, interdepartmental staffing issues, participant/family complaints/issues to appropriate person and assists in resolution as appropriate.</li><li>Effectively uses and assists in development and improvement of computerized staffing program.</li><li>Prepares four-week schedules for Geriatric Care Givers and Home Care LPNs.</li><li>Prints and mails participant schedules as determined by living situation weekly.</li><li>Prints aide schedules to all shared aide buildings weekly.</li><li>Print staffing level report twice a day and as needed to all shared aide buildings and day centers.</li><li>Exercises sound judgment based upon acquired knowledge, participant need and program service scope. Has access to participant records and reports where maintaining confidentiality is essential. Must possess ability to self-direct daily routines in support of program objectives; work cooperatively with others, communicate effectively, and possess physical and emotional ability to perform work assigned. Must demonstrate flexibility, creativity, and responsiveness in meeting individual and program goals.</li><li>Cooperates with leadership staff in implementing planned changes and activities to improve participant care or overall functioning of the PACE program as it relates to staffing.</li><li>Responsible for communication of updates, schedules, and policies and procedure affecting aides and nurses via written, verbal, or electronic communication.</li><li>Adapts to changes in job responsibilities in a professional manner.</li><li>Participates in problem solving and makes recommendations and suggestions for positive procedure changes.</li><li>Adheres to rules in the union contract regarding hours worked by staff, overtime, mandation processes and all staffing tasks</li><li>Responds to and handles situations appropriately, following the appropriate chain of command.</li><li>Recognizes and respond to emergent situations efficiently and effectively by managing self, participants, staff, and other appropriately.</li><li>Works closely with Home Care Managers to schedule new employees independently only after receiving notification that appropriate paperwork and competencies have been completed.</li><li>Maintains management of information to include staff and participant confidentiality issues.</li><li>Maintain patience and a cooperative attitude regardless of the situation presented.</li><li>Attends staff and in-service meetings as required; participates in QI task forces and activities as requested.</li></ul>Job expectations for all Loretto employees:<ul><li>Promotes and role models the mission, values, vision and strategic goals of Loretto in all interactions with staff, peers, residents, family members, vendors and visitors. Qualifications:
<ul><li>High School diploma or GED required</li><li>ASA degree or LPN license preferred.</li><li>2 years experience with scheduling staff preferred.</li><li>Excellent communication skills.
