The Department of Geological Sciences resides in the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences and Department faculty members have broad expertise in Earth and Planetary Sciences, including geophysics, paleoclimatology, volcanology, petrology, tectonics, hydrology, geomorphology, sedimentology, marine geology, biogeochemistry, astrobiology, paleontology, and geoscience education among others. Job Description: We expect the successful candidate to establish a strong externally funded research program that includes mentoring graduate students and teaching graduate and undergraduate courses in their area of expertise and contribute courses supporting and/or developing degree programs in Geophysics, Astrobiology and Planetary Science, and the UF AI Certificate.
