Retention efforts will include holistic advising, referral to appropriate student supports, provide information regarding program of student interest, proper course sequence, and specific monitoring of progress of student who are not in college level coursework, and guidance to new program options as applicable if student is not chosen for their primary program of interest. The Academic Advisor for Health Sciences provides accurate information in the advising process including the following: career exploration, course selection, graduation requirements, articulation, and transfer information, and career readiness preparation while considering the prominence of student retention for students seeking admittance to their chosen career program.
