Concorde Education is hiring engaging instructors to lead enrichment classes that help students develop curiosity, problem-solving skills, and an understanding of how science connects to everyday life. Classes typically meet once per week for about one hour, though some instructors choose to teach multiple programs per week depending on their availability.

Location: Local partner schools Schedule: 1–4 hours per week (after school) Program Length: Typically 10 weeks Start Dates: Programs launch throughout the school year Compensation: $50+ per instructional hour, flexible based on assignment and instructor experienceTeach engaging enrichment classes that help students explore new interests and build real skills. Concorde Education partners with schools to provide high-quality after-school programs led by passionate instructors. In this role, you will lead structured, hands-on sessions that introduce students to practical science concepts through safe, real-world experiments and demonstrations.Lead fun, interactive science activities for students in a flexible, part-time role. Classes typically meet once per week for about one hour, though some instructors choose to teach multiple programs per week depending on their availability.Concorde Education is hiring engaging instructors to lead enrichment classes that help students develop curiosity, problem-solving skills, and an understanding of how science connects to everyday life.Instructors lead structured enrichment lessons using weekly plans while adapting activities to the needs and interests of the students.Possible Class TopicsAssignments vary by school and may include:<ul><li>Everyday chemistry using safe household materials</li><li>States of matter and simple chemical reactions</li><li>Kitchen science and cooking chemistry</li><li>Cleaning science and how soaps and surfactants work</li><li>Simple machines and forces found in the home</li><li>Engineering challenges using common household items</li><li>Environmental science topics such as recycling and energy use</li><li>Recording observations and basic scientific inquiry</li></ul>Responsibilities<ul><li>Lead engaging after-school science sessions for students</li><li>Facilitate safe, hands-on experiments and demonstrations</li><li>Maintain a positive, structured classroom environment</li><li>Manage materials and ensure proper clean-up procedures</li><li>Coordinate with school staff and Concorde program contacts</li></ul>Qualifications<ul><li>Minimum 60 college credits completed</li><li>Comfort teaching basic science concepts through hands-on activities</li><li>Experience working with youth (schools, camps, after-school programs, or tutoring)</li><li>Strong communication and group facilitation skills</li><li>Reliable, punctual, and professional</li></ul>Who This Role Is Great ForMany of our instructors are:<ul><li>Current or former teachers and educators</li><li>College or graduate students studying science, education, or STEM fields</li><li>STEM professionals or hobbyists who enjoy teaching students</li><li>Tutors, camp counselors, and youth program leaders</li><li>Parents, makers, or DIY enthusiasts who enjoy hands-on science activities</li></ul>
