Provides a high degree of customer service; provides knowledgeable, responsive, and welcoming assistance to patrons; ensures all work, whether public-facing or behind the scenes, supports a positive customer experience; Provides direct service to the public, including reference, reader's advisory, circulation, and technology assistance; supports or delivers programs, outreach, and other library services to either adults or children, depending on assigned division; Library Specialists assigned to Youth Services may require storytelling; assists with some collection management and other specialized functions, such as passport services; performs technical and operational duties within the assigned area; assists with problem-solving and responds appropriately to customer needs; performs other duties as assigned by supervisor; Supplemental Information.
