Lock offices, shut off lights, check horses, secure stall doors, secure barn doors based on weather conditions, check water system for problems, dust mop lobby floor, pick up trash, perform stall counts, assist veterinarians with clinic cases, patrol perimeter of facility, place miscellaneous tools in appropriate areas, prepare a report on all farm activities during the shift, check horses in, check horses out, check heating conditions in the office areas, collect and note tack left lying around. Critical Thinking/Problem Solving: Student General Farm Laborer will be able to help in solving equine and facility related issues and/or problems, ranging from broken equipment to injured horses.
