Noise and activity levels will be varied.Job SummaryThe Swim Lesson Instructor will provide instruction in alignment with Swim America, a national learn-to-swim program. Swim America is goal-driven and technique-oriented. Swim instruction sessions run four (4) days a week for three (3) 2-week sessions, as well as Saturdays for private lessons. The program adjusts swim coaches to the appropriate skill levels of the swimmers enrolled. Swim coaches teach participants to swim according to the program standards. Certification and training is provided to all staff.Job Duties* Provide excellent customer service and possess a service philosophy that reflects the mission of the Parks and Recreation Department.* Follow directions from the MPRD supervisor, Swim America program director, and Swim America site head.* Teach the daily activities of the swim lessons program.* Regularly communicate with Swim America site head to ensure all organizational goals are met.* Communicate orally and in writing with customers, other lifeguards, and supervisors.* Able to establish and maintain cooperative professional working relationships with others, individually and in a team environment.* Work in a team composed of other Swim America site heads, swim coaches, Lifeguards, Head Lifeguards, Assistant Managers, and Managers.* Learn, carry out, and enforce Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and Emergency Action Plans (EAP).* Make decisions quickly to respond to potential hazards or emergency situations.* Other duties as assigned.RequirementsRequired Education and Experience* Knowledge of swimming technique.* Knowledge of Swim America learn-to-swim program.Preferred Education and Experience* Early Childhood or Elementary Education experience.* Swim America or WSI certified.* Experience with swim teams or instruction on swimming techniques.Other Information?* This is not a KPERS covered position.* Applicants must pass a background check.* Staff will be required to attend in-service training.* Waterparks are open from Memorial Day weekend until no later than Labor Day. Overview:
The Material Handler is primarily responsible for accurately loading and unloading freight safely and efficiently; sorting according to purchase order (PO) and SKU; uses a radio frequency (RF) gun to locate and select merchandise for shipment to stores; scanning boxes, opening cases, and then placing them on the correct conveyor for sorting; packing single and multiple customer orders; placing correct shipping labels onto packages and placing on correct conveyor for shipment; inducts apparel and footwear onto the tilt trays and packs product sorted by the tilt trays for shipment to stores. Seasonal positions can last up to 90 days with the option to convert or extend based on business needs and performance. Available full-time shifts:<ul><li>1st Shift - Monday through Thursday<ul><li>Various morning start times available! 10 hour shifts.</li></ul></li><li>Weekend Shift - Friday through Sunday<ul><li>Various morning start times available! 12 hour shifts.</li></ul></li></ul> <iframe title="vimeo-player" src="https://player.vimeo.com/video/1132161842?h=a12eed5550" width="640" height="360" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen="allowfullscreen" data-mce-fragment="1"></iframe>

What you will do: Learn to repair vehicle glass (in the classroom and hands on) with a focus on the Safelite Way of Fitting under the guidance of experienced technicians and Safelite leaders. What you will do: <ul><li>Learn to repair vehicle glass (in the classroom and hands on) with a focus on the Safelite Way of Fitting under the guidance of experienced technicians and Safelite leaders. </li><li>Repair chips, cracks and other auto glass related issues on customer vehicles. </li><li>Manage work orders, customer documentation and customer communication through the Safelite handheld Mobile Resource Management (MRM) technology.
