Key Responsibilities* Provides SMART customer service at all times through the daily execution of Lowe's customer service policies, procedures and programs* Seeks out customers to understand his/her needs and assists in locating, demonstrating, selecting, carrying, and/or loading merchandise* Listens to and responds knowledgeably and promptly to customer and associate questions by taking them to areas of the store and walking them through projects when necessary* Demonstrates sincere appreciation to customers* Communicates information to customers regarding all stock, special order merchandise, feature benefits, application, and warranty information related to Lowe's programs* Writes customer contracts and invoices for equipment rental and tool repairs (Tool Rental Department)* Cross-functionally trains in other areas of the store to help deliver the best customer service* Detects common signs of shoplifting, theft, and other security risks, and promptly communicates them to management and/or Asset Protection* Ensures compliance with housekeeping standards and programs (e.g., Zone Recovery) to maintain cleanliness and organization of store and working areas* Maintains a safe and secure work environment, which may include conducting daily safety reviews, noting hazards, keeping aisles clear, and securing doors and gates* Adheres to all safety requirements relevant to one's regular job duties: top stock safety, reinstalling safety cables, use of aisle blockers, a tether line on power equipment, spotters, and safety devices* Operates store equipment as needed depending on one specific role and department (e.g., Zebra phone, telephone, paging system, copiers, fax machines, computers, CCTV surveillance system, key cutter, panel saw, paint mixer, flooring cutters, compacter baler, tool rentals)Required Qualifications* Less than 1 Year Experience using a computer, including inputting, accessing, modifying, or outputting information* Less than 1 Year Experience using common retail technology, such as smart phones and tablets* Less than 1 Year Retail experience, performing tasks such as: identifying and selling products based on customer needs; explaining warranties, product features, and benefits; assisting customers in locating products; building customer relationships; identifying and resolving customer issues; zone recovery; and housekeeping* Ability to obtain sales related licensure or registration as may be required by lawAbout Lowe'sLowe's Companies, Inc. We specialize in providing individualized attention to commercial, industrial and government accounts with complex requirements for Fire Alarm Systems, Structured Cabling Systems, Access Control Systems, Video Surveillance Systems, Security Systems, and Intercom & Nurse Call Systems. We operate out of our Sherwood, Arkansas District office.The Technician will be responsible for providing inspections, installations, programming, and service on a variety of security alarm system devices in a professional and timely manner. The Technician will be expected to meet weekly service and productivity goals. The Technician will work with the Company to obtain local city listing agents. The Technician is also responsible for maintaining a clean, well-organized vehicle and ensuring a safe environment for his/herself, co-workers and customers.Job Responsibilities<ul><li>Manage their time to complete the maximum amount of service, inspection, and installation calls while maintaining a high level of quality.</li><li>Achieve any weekly productivity goals assigned by the Security Alarm Manager or designated Agent.</li><li>Firm understanding of how low voltage systems operate with the ability to trouble shoot and fix customer issues.</li><li>Mechanically inclined and accustomed to working with tools (screw drivers, wire strippers, pliers, ladders, drills, saws, etc...)</li><li>Must be able to take initiative and be organized to complete tasks on service calls and small job sites as directed by a supervisor in order to complete work in a timely manner for our customers.</li><li>Learn applicable codes and obtain applicable state licensing.</li><li>Protect and maintain company equipment.</li><li>Work in a safe manner as outlined by company safety procedures including the driving, personal protective equipment, and lockout/tag-out policies.</li><li>Maintain their vehicle in accordance with company procedures and ensure it is clean and organized.</li><li>Perform any other tasks assigned by the Security Alarm Manager or Agent.</li></ul>Job Qualifications<ul><li>Arkansas Level 1 Alarm License (Required)</li><li>Ability to learn applicable installation, inspection, and servicing code.</li><li>Excellent communications and customer service skills.</li><li>Ability to adhere to, implement, and follow safety guidelines and procedures at all times.</li></ul>Preferred Qualifications<ul><li>Low voltage service experience preferred.</li><li>Applicable experience either in the security protection industry or the commercial customer service business in some capacity is a plus but not required.</li><li>A security alarm systems background or a background working as a licensed electrician.</li><li>Ability and willingness to obtain NICET and other trade specific certifications.</li><li>Willing to travel for weeks at a time.</li><li>Willing to work nights if needed.</li><li>Ability to pull wire, trim-out, and program devices.</li><li>Security License a plus.</li></ul>Successful completion of a drug test and pre-employment background screening is required.
