In the role of Security Officer, you will have the opportunity to: • Maintain your personal relationship with Jesus Christ and be an effective witness for Him • Conduct yourself as a security professional at all times, creating an atmosphere to deter undesirable activity • Greet all staff and visitors whenever practical to maintain a consistent visible presence • Screen pedestrian and vehicular traffic for authorization to enter the premises • Operate various equipment such as card access, fire, and burglar alarm, video cameras, and ministry vehicles • Report hazardous conditions and follow all call-in procedures in case of emergency • Identify threatening individuals and alert local law enforcement • Be familiar with all Samaritans Purse facilities, policies, procedures, and regulations that affect the safety and security of all occupants • Monitor activity across campus through regular physical patrols and the use of video surveillance • Control access to campus during non-business hours, open, close, and secure all buildings as scheduled • Document all noteworthy activity in the shift log or appropriate incident report • All other duties as assigned.
