Promote the adoption of open course materials and systems to mitigate the universitys reliance on traditional textbooks and other licensed content; collaborate with teaching faculty and instructional designers in the identification, adoption, creation, and assessment of open and affordable course content; assist with integrating affordable materials into faculty curriculum, D2L, or other course settings. Serve as an advisor on trends, legislation, policies, evolutionary changes, and best practices regarding affordable course content, open educational practices, and open licensing; develop methods for assessing and reporting usage, impact, benefits, effectiveness, and relevance of OER and affordable course content.
