The Lodge at Whitefish Lake, one of Montana's AAA Four Diamond resorts, is seeking a Seasonal Concierge to join our Guest Services Team through October. RESPONSIBILITY PRINCIPLES AND POSITION PURPOSE:The Concierge oversees making reservations for onsite and nearby restaurants, attractions, on-property adventure programming, bike rentals, Lady of the Lake requests, and other requests, as well as general knowledge of Whitefish and the surrounding area.Principal responsibilities and duties include:<ul><li>Have a working knowledge of the front office, bell services, transportation, lobby, and pre-arrival concierge services.</li></ul><ul><li>The individual should be instrumental in supporting good public, departmental, and employee relations.</li></ul><ul><li>Schedule Lady of the Lake operations in coordination with captains.</li></ul><ul><li>Maintain knowledge of area activities and events regularly as well as provide the front desk with working knowledge.</li></ul><ul><li>Maintain updated knowledge of assets specific to the company's needs.</li></ul><ul><li>Welcome visitors and confirm reservations.</li></ul><ul><li>You'll provide excellent customer service and attention to detail.</li></ul><ul><li>Maintain positive, ongoing relationships.</li></ul><ul><li>Maintain high ethical standards and professionalism.</li></ul><ul><li>Multitask and prioritize as necessary to meet customer needs.</li></ul><ul><li>Represent the company with integrity and dedication.</li></ul><ul><li>Answer phone and email inquiries from potential guests in a timely and respectful manner.</li></ul><ul><li>Greet guests and visitors warmly and make them feel welcome and attended to.</li></ul><ul><li>We offer restaurant and activity recommendations and assist guests in arranging transportation and excursions.</li></ul><ul><li>Receive and redirect mail, phone calls, packages, etc.</li></ul><ul><li>Ensure that guest spaces and the lobby are clean and tidy at all times.</li></ul><ul><li>Act as a liaison between guests and any department necessary, including the kitchen, housekeeping, etc.</li></ul><ul><li>Anticipate guests' needs in order to accommodate them and provide an exceptional guest experience.</li></ul><ul><li>Maintain an inventory of supplies and order new stock as needed.</li></ul>Knowledge, skills, and ability are required for the job.Concierges should possess above-average communication skills. Their attitude, speaking and listening skills will reflect their employers. They must be able to convey information effectively and with care, whether they're offering recommendations on nearby restaurants or trying to solve guest problems. Theyâ€ll also need to relay requests from guests to other staff members.<ul><li>The ability to communicate effectively with staff, senior management team members, and ownership verbally, in writing, and over the phone.</li></ul><ul><li>excellent leadership, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.</li></ul><ul><li>Ability and willingness to adhere to all Averill Hospitality policies and ensure departmental personnel compliance.</li></ul><ul><li>ability and willingness to work with various office equipment and software systems.</li></ul><ul><li>A valid driver's license is necessary to aid in shuttles and errands.</li></ul><ul><li>It must maintain a positive influence in the community and positive relations with area vendors.</li></ul><ul><li>Quality: meets productivity standards, completes work promptly, strives to increase productivity, works quickly and efficiently.</li></ul><ul><li>Guest Service: Responds promptly to guests' needs and takes ownership of the overall guest experience.</li></ul><ul><li>Professionalism entails approaching others with respect, reacting well under pressure, treating others with respect and consideration regardless of status or position, and accepting responsibility for one's own actions, following through on commitments.</li></ul> QUALIFICATION STANDARDS Experience, licenses, and certificates<ul><li>Experience in the hospitality industry is an asset.</li><li>Earn at least a high school diploma. Concierge jobs generally do not require a college degree. The minimum requirement for most positions is a high school diploma.</li><li>Experience your community like a tourist would. To offer your guests honest advice, you will need to know about all the amenities and services your local area offers.</li><li>Find work within the hospitality or tourism sector. If you do not have any experience in tourism, you may want to find a part-time job in other service sectors.</li></ul>Schedule/Holidays/PTOThis position requires regular, reliable, and punctual attendance. They are expected to usually keep a 5-day-a-week schedule but adjust as needed according to business needs; for example,  4-5-day week may be required during peak business periods. A workweek of up to 50 hours per week can be expected. However, it can be more or less, depending on business needs. Working evenings, weekends, and holidays may be required. The concierge will greet customers in person, over the phone, and through email inquiries and assist them with booking trips or services offered by Swan Mountain Outfitters as well as give out relevant visitor information. They will assist the corral staff to check in guests for their rides throughout the day (administer paperwork, process payments, educate about policies related to the ride).

They will assist the corral staff to check in guests for their rides throughout the day (administer paperwork, process payments, educate about policies related to the ride). They will work with the store manager, cook, and corral staff to relay information regarding guest meals packed on certain trail rides. Additionally, the concierge may check out retail guests or take to go orders for the restaurant.   The concierge should have excellent communication skills and phone etiquette. They should be detail oriented, organized, able to multi-task, and familiar with Microsoft office and Google suite products.  Most importantly, the concierge should be extroverted and friendly. Compensation  $18/hour Full-time preferred, part-time considered.
