Field Service Technician

As aTraveling HVAC Controls - Field Service Technicianhere at Honeywell, you will be accountable for providing technical assistance and service to our customers in the HVAC industry. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the successful installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of HVAC control systems. Your expertise and dedication to customer satisfaction will contribute to the efficiency, comfort, and safety of our customers' buildings (commercial sites). In this role, you will have the opportunity to make a significant impact by delivering exceptional service and assistance to our customers in the HVAC controls industry You will report directly to our Field Service Supervisor and travel up to 70% to the customer sites in Minnesota and outside the region. During the first 90-180 days, you may travel to other areas for training and assistance. You will receive a vehicle and a travel and expense card for business use. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES <ul><li>Commission, start up, and tune control systems to meet customer specifications and job requirements.</li><li>Install, configure, and test pre-engineered software for control systems OR this instead: Install and troubleshoot pre-engineered software and hardware, checkout control systems, and start-ups and commission systems according to customer requirements and job specifications.</li><li>Diagnose and resolve technical issues with efficiency and expertise.</li><li>Collaborate with cross-functional teams to create and implement solutions tailored to customer needs.</li><li>Ensure adherence to company policies, procedures, and regulatory standards.</li><li>Report incidents, near misses, and improvement opportunities through the SOS system.</li><li>Perform open systems and 3rd party integrations and collaborate with other vendors of different protocols.</li><li>Ensure that the configuration management policy is followed which involves back- up of all changes on an on-going basis during installation and final archiving of Honeywell's hardware and software on Honeywell Server.</li><li>Demonstrate system and conduct customer training for all functions</li><li>Support sales activities by presenting integrated/networked solutions and retro fit opportunities when warranted.</li><li>Travel up to 70% in the assigned territories. </li></ul> HONEYWELL BENEFITS In addition to a performance-driven salary, cutting-edge work, and developing side-by-side solutions with dedicated experts in their fields, Honeywell employees are eligible for a comprehensive benefits package. For more information visit: click here The application period for the job is estimated to be 40 days from the job posting date; however, this may be shortened or extended depending on business needs and the availability of qualified candidates.MUST HAVE <ul><li>2+ years ' experience in building controls and automation, including troubleshooting diagnosis and repair of emergency management systems, exposure to programming, PC usage, and general networking principles.</li><li>Working knowledge of BACnet control systems</li><li>Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.</li><li>Exceptional problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities, with a keen attention to detail in diagnosing and resolving issues.</li><li>Strong communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical information clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.</li></ul> WE VALUE <ul><li>Tridium Niagara 4 or Niagara AX experience (or willing to get certified)</li><li>Honeywell ComfortPoint™ Open or Compatible Competitor control software system knowledge</li><li>2+ years of experience in commercial HVAC controls field service with a solid track record in installation, , maintenance, and repair.</li><li>Associates or Certifications from a Vocational or Trades College. </li><li>Strong customer focus and ability to build and maintain relationships</li></ul> ABOUT HONEYWELL Honeywell International Inc.
