This position leads complex engineering initiatives within boiler systems, applying deep technical expertise and advanced tools to solve challenging operational and performance issues. The role supports the full lifecycle of generation equipment, from design and installation through operation, optimization, and maintenance; while partnering closely with cross-functional teams across the organization. As a trusted technical leader, the Senior Engineer provides guidance, training, and mentorship to colleagues, influences key technical and business decisions, and helps develop the next generation of engineering talent. What you will do<ul><li>Independently performs work on a variety of complex assignments requiring in-depth analysis to determine appropriate solutions to solve problems.</li><li>Identifies problems and solutions and makes safety suggestions to maintain a safe work environment, using tools and standards to design safety into operating and maintaining equipment.</li><li>Goes beyond generally accepted guidelines to proactively identify and analyze problems and recommend solutions to customer needs with minimal guidance.</li><li>Solves complex problems by relying on experience and outside references to identify new ways of using existing procedures, techniques, and resources.</li><li>Develops recommendations for technically sound and cost-effective solutions, understanding the application to other problems and systems and demonstrating critical thinking skills.</li><li>Demonstrates the ability and confidence to present alternatives and constructively influence the customers decision making.</li><li>Makes higher risk decisions that involve direct application of technical knowledge and may have an impact on multiple areas of the business with proper sign off from customer.</li><li>Proactively provides guidance to less experienced personnel and may mentor new employees or interns.</li><li>Has established effective working relationships and credibility with employees, contractors, customers, functional groups, and internal and external peers.</li><li>Explains technical problems to internal stakeholders and accurately prepares detailed documents such as technical studies and project documentation for future reference.</li><li>Manages project budgets, including processes accruals, and communicates anticipated changes in the budget. If the role interests you and you would like to be considered we encourage you to apply!Key leadership and execution role for delivering outcomes that are aligned with the business goals, including support of manufacturing and facility electrical systems.Creates and executes the long range plan for prioritized controls upgrades for facility and manufacturing production equipment including capital projects requests and implementation.Responsible for executing the Controls & Automation workstreams of capital projects that will increase reliability, availability, reporting and monitoring of the plant facilities and equipment.Oversee installation and integration of power distribution systems including MCCs and Power Distribution Panels.Provide leadership and serve as a technical resource to associates training in the electrical discipline.Create solutions and provide guidance to maintain compliance of plant safety regulations such as (Arc Flash Electrical Safety- NFPA-70E; LOTO, Energized Work Permits, Safe Cell Entry). Perform work audits for self and other associatesAct as liaison and work closely with other departments such as IT for network maintenance and upgrades.Design and manage systems for maintaining programmable logic controller (PLC) backup files and other software related systems in the plant.Subject Matter Expert for programmable logic controller (PLC) and direct programming updates to Allen Bradley PLC ladder programs, connect Laptop Computer to PLC via network protocols.Provide leadership through efficient management of resources, synchronization of project management concepts and effective communication to all stake holders are central accountabilities to this role.Oversee installation and integration of power distribution systems including MCCs and Power Distribution Panels.Develop and implement a robust pipeline of automation technology to improve productivity KPI's.The starting budgeted pay range for this role will generally fall between $99,700.00 - $117,300.00 per year.
