Primary responsibilities include:Overseeing the day-to-day operations of the College, including academic programs, scheduling, and personnel coordination across three campusesSupporting faculty and staff through clear communication, responsiveness, and consistent leadershipManaging the College budget and resources responsibly, with attention to current constraints and prioritiesEnsuring continued progress on accreditation, assessment, and compliance requirementsPartnering with the Provost and Academic Affairs leadership to implement existing strategic and academic initiativesMaintaining and strengthening relationships with school districts, community partners, and external stakeholders as appropriateIdentifying immediate operational challenges and advancing practical, short-term solutionsThe Interim Dean is expected to ensure stability, reinforce alignment, and position the College for a successful transition to permanent leadership. Minimum Requirements Profile - While no single candidate will possess all of the following, the successful candidate will bring many of these strengths:Required/Core ExpectationsAn earned doctorate or terminal degree in an appropriate fieldA record of success as a faculty member, department chair, program director, or comparable academic leaderDemonstrated ability to work collaboratively with faculty, staff, and students in a shared governance environmentStrong communication skills and the ability to build trust across a multi-campus academic unitExperience supporting or participating in core academic functions such as curriculum, assessment, accreditation, or program reviewSound judgment, professionalism, and the ability to make thoughtful, timely decisionsA commitment to student success, academic quality, and inclusive excellenceAbility to manage competing priorities and support day-to-day operations effectively .
