Position Overview:
We are seeking a Senior Environmental Project Manager to lead complex environmental projects while driving business development and client growth initiatives. This role is responsible for managing multidisciplinary environmental projects, maintaining strong client relationships, and identifying new business opportunities that support the company’s strategic growth. The ideal candidate is a proven leader with strong technical expertise, project management experience, and a demonstrated ability to develop and expand client relationships within the environmental consulting industry.

Responsibilities:
 <ul><li>Manage and oversee environmental projects from proposal through completion, ensuring delivery on time and within budget.</li><li>Lead multidisciplinary teams in the execution of environmental investigations, permitting, compliance, and remediation projects.</li><li>Prepare and review technical reports, proposals, cost estimates, and project documentation.</li><li>Monitor project financial performance, including budgets, forecasting, and invoicing.</li><li>Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local environmental regulations.</li><li>Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior staff and project team members.</li><li>Coordinate with regulatory agencies, subcontractors, and clients as required.</li><li>Identify and pursue new business opportunities with public and private sector clients.</li><li>Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective clients.</li><li>Lead proposal development, including scope preparation, budgeting, and contract negotiation.</li><li>Participate in marketing initiatives, networking events, and industry associations.</li><li>Collaborate with leadership to develop strategic growth plans and expand service offerings.</li><li>Meet or exceed individual and team revenue growth targets.</li><li>erve as the primary point of contact for key clients.</li><li>Provide guidance and mentorship to project managers, scientists, and technical staff.</li><li>Support recruiting, training, and performance development initiatives.</li><li>Foster a culture of safety, quality, and collaboration across project teams.</li><li>Other duties as assigned</li></ul>

Qualifications:
<ul><li> Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Environmental Science, Business, or a related field; advanced degree or PMP certification preferred.</li><li> 7+ years of progressive project management experience, preferably within engineering, environmental, or construction industries.</li><li> Demonstrated ability to manage large, complex, and high-impact projects in a fast-paced, multi-stakeholder environment.</li><li> Proficient in project management tools such as Microsoft Project, Smartsheet, or similar, and Microsoft Office Suite.</li><li> In-depth knowledge of project planning, budgeting, scheduling, risk assessment, and regulatory compliance.</li><li> Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage diverse teams and influence stakeholders at all levels.</li><li> Experience managing project financials, contracts, and vendor relationships.</li><li> Ability to travel to job sites and regional offices as needed.</li><li> Self-directed, highly organized, and capable of managing competing priorities in a matrixed or decentralized organization.</li></ul>

Preferred Qualifications:
<ul><li>Professional certification such as PE (Professional Engineer), PG (Professional Geologist), or PMP (Project Management Professional).</li><li>Experience managing environmental due diligence, site assessments, remediation, or permitting projects.</li><li>Established network of industry contacts and clients.</li><li>Experience working with government and municipal clients.</li><li>5+ years of project management experience in environmental services.</li><li>Demonstrated success in business development and client relationship management.</li><li>Strong knowledge of environmental regulations (EPA, state, and local).</li><li>Proven ability to manage budgets, schedules, and multidisciplinary teams.</li><li>Excellent written and verbal communication skills.</li><li>Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to project sites and client meetings as needed.</li></ul>

Travel Requirements:
 This position does not require regular travel as part of its primary responsibilities. However, occasional travel may be required, up to 10%, primarily for occasional off-site meetings, training sessions, or company events. What You'll Do:
ECS is seeking a Facilities Senior Project Associate to join our Florida Building Science & Infrastructure team in Daytona, FL. The Senior Project Associate is responsible for providing technical leadership and project management for facilities assessment projects. This is a client-facing role with daily involvement with clients, project teams (e.g., architects, general contractors, engineers, owners) and heavy involvement in project execution and junior staff development. You’ll collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality consulting solutions to a diverse range of facilities and clients. ResponsibilitiesTechnical Leadership:<ul><li>Demonstrate strong knowledge of building science & infrastructure related testing and consulting services</li><li>Collaborate with staff members on a variety of projects and actively mentor junior staff to support the overall development of the team</li><li>Coordinate and lead project meetings, providing solutions to technical and administrative issues as necessary</li><li>Prepare building science & infrastructure reports, perform analysis, and provide recommendations. Interpret test results, identify issues, and recommend corrective actions</li><li>Lead client meetings and/or calls to present and discuss report findings and conclusions</li><li>Oversee preparation and review of reports from junior staff prior to Principal review and provide final sign off where approved</li><li>Direct project set up and implementation with junior staff and ensure appropriately trained and experienced staff are assigned</li><li>Oversee building science & infrastructure projects and assist junior staff with resolution of issues and training of field staff while managing several projects simultaneously</li><li>Possess exceptional technical writing skills with regard to spelling, grammar, and professional content/tone. Understand and utilize standard industry terms and terminology. Proofread written work and perform peer reviews of colleagues' reports focusing on grammar, spelling, report content, and the validity of conclusions</li></ul>Business Development & Client Engagement:<ul><li>Market ECS services and maintain and further develop the client database</li><li>Host or attend project discussions with clients and follow up on reports to determine if there are questions</li></ul>Project Management & Oversight:<ul><li>Manage project budgets and prepare change orders. Oversee project budgets of others as assigned and review change orders and invoices. Assist with collection efforts and guide junior staff on how to communicate testing and/or budget concerns</li><li>Prioritize tasks and meet project deadlines</li><li>Oversee the preparation and review of proposals and change orders</li></ul>Team Leadership:<ul><li>Schedule, train, and supervise subordinate staff members</li><li>Collaborate with other managers to make staffing decisions and maintain appropriate staff levels</li></ul>Facilities Assessment Responsibilities:<ul><li>Perform property/facility condition assessments, facility needs assessments, pre- and post-construction surveys, accessibility assessments, and other facilities-related services. May perform senior review of these services and supervise staff completing this work</li><li>Demonstrate strong understanding of buildings and building systems (MEP, FLS, etc.) and experience with data collection</li><li>Perform property condition assessments, document review, and report preparation. May perform senior review of these services</li><li>Review reports produced by field staff and perform routine visits to active project sites to ensure appropriate quality and progress. Communicate project milestones with clients and advise on significant changes</li><li>Maintain knowledge of ASTM Standard E2018 and applicable building codes</li><li>Perform pre- and post-construction surveys, including documenting target properties and maintaining photo archives. May supervise staff completing these surveys</li><li>Perform Facility Condition Assessments (FCAs), including assessment management, data collection, inventory/database management, remaining useful life analysis, cost estimates, and capital planning updates. May lead FCA teams</li><li>Direct field work performed by subcontractors, ECS technicians, and other field staff while managing multiple projects simultaneously</li></ul>
