Strong knowledge of Ansonia Public Schools curriculum, policies, procedures, and effective instructional practices; thorough understanding of the teaching and learning process, particularly as it relates to mathematics instruction and student achievement; knowledge of effective strategies for integrating and differentiating curriculum to meet the needs of diverse learners; ability to use assessment and diagnostic data to identify student needs, inform instruction, and support instructional decision-making; ability to provide instructional support that reflects multiple perspectives and culturally responsive practices; ability to effectively integrate technology into curriculum, instruction, and assessment; ability to collaborate effectively with administrators, teachers, central office personnel, school-based staff, educational support personnel, students, families, and community members; ability to coach, support, and provide constructive feedback to teachers and instructional teams; excellent organizational, communication, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, coaching teachers in effective Tier I instructional strategies that support the development of strong numeracy skills, co-teaching and modeling mathematics lessons, providing professional learning and ongoing instructional support to staff, and supporting the administration and implementation of district and state assessments.
