Specialized roles within the department include, but are not limited to, the K9 unit, drone program, bike patrol (including eBikes), firearms instructor, evidence technician, detective, emergency vehicle operations instructor, defense and arrest tactics instructor, field training officer, community service officer, and school resource officer. For applicants with prior experience, our competitive salary and benefits package includes flexibility for the Chief to assign a starting step based on the officers prior experience: one (1) year, three (3) years, five (5) years, or seven (7) years of seniority.
