<div>Dunnage Sorter – Dock Operations</div><div><br/></div><div>New Troy, MI</div><div><br/>Employment Type: Full-Time</div><div><br/></div><div>1st Shift: 7am-3pm  <br/>Pay: $16/hr</div><div><br/> 2nd Shift: 3pm-11pm<br/> Pay: $16/hr + $2.25/hr shift premium</div><div> </div><div>Job Summary</div><div>We are looking for a dependable and detail-oriented Dunnage Sorter to support dock operations. This role focuses on sorting, inspecting, and managing dunnage materials to keep dock activity running smoothly and safely. The right person will be comfortable with hands-on, physical work and working as part of a team.</div><div><br/></div><div>Key Responsibilities</div><ul><li>Sort and organize dunnage materials by type and condition.</li><li>Inspect materials for damage and report issues to supervision.</li><li>Load and unload dunnage from trucks and storage areas.</li><li>Keep the dock area clean, organized, and safe.</li><li>Assist with basic inventory tracking and documentation.</li><li>Follow all safety rules and company procedures at all times.</li><li>Work closely with other dock team members to maintain steady workflow.</li></ul><div>Qualifications</div><ul><li>High school diploma or equivalent preferred.</li><li>Experience in warehouse, dock, or material handling work is a plus.</li><li>Ability to safely lift and move heavy materials.</li><li>Strong attention to detail and basic organizational skills.</li><li>Able to communicate clearly and work well within a team.</li><li>Willingness to work outdoors and in varying weather conditions as needed.</li></ul><div>Work Environment</div><div>This is a physically active role based on a dock setting. Regular weekly overtime available after 40 hours. </p><p>Responsibilities Include: </p><ul><li>Sorting recycled material onto different conveyor belts and moving material to the appropriate areas. </li><li>Maintaining the cleanliness of the recycling area and yard outside. </li><li>Help maintaining equipment such as baler and conveyor line. </li><li>Assuming custodial duties as needed. </li><li>Other manual labor that does not involve the operation of heavy equipment. </li></ul><p>Requirements: </p><ul><li>Ability to perform minimal computer related tasks. </li><li>Must be able to stand continually through entire shift </li><li>Must be able to lift at least 50 lbs. </li></ul><p>Successful candidates are those who seek to thrive in an environment of operational excellence and accountability.
