Teachers who lead classrooms for students with moderate support needs are also responsible for leading and supporting paraprofessionals, establishing clear roles and routines, providing ongoing guidance and feedback, and ensuring that instructional, behavioral, and individualized supports are implemented consistently. Across settings, Special Education Teachers deliver highly individualized instruction, implement IEPs, monitor student progress, and collaborate closely with families, general education teachers, service providers, and school leaders.
