The Elementary Education Services (EES) Counselor provides academic support, supervision, and behavioral health intervention in the school setting including specific therapeutic support services such as crisis intervention techniques, immediate behavioral reinforcements, emotional support, timeout strategies, and personal emergency interventions, as necessary. Some responsibilities include: Provides behavioral support, as prescribed in the students IEP, including crisis intervention techniques, immediate behavioral reinforcements, emotional support, time-structuring activities, time-out strategies and psychosocial, and rehabilitative activities.
