As a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) with Knowledge Road, you will:

• Provide direct, high-quality speech and language therapy services to students in both individual and group settings, according to their Individualized Education Service Programs/Individualized Education Programs (IESP/IEP). The SLP participates as an integral part of the interdisciplinary team, manages resources to meet the needs of the resident and related customers balancing outcomes and cost effective and efficient treatment. Evaluates residents/resident needs and establishes effective and efficient treatment plans for the resident/residents assigned.

The ideal candidate will have experience working with children aged 0-5 years in a center-based setting, using play-based and evidence-based therapy approaches to support speech, language, and communication development.

Teach, supervise, and counsel the family, and patient, in the total Speech Therapy program and other related problems of the patient, at home. Conduct initial, and ongoing, comprehensive assessments of the patient’s needs, including Outcome and Assessment Information Set (OASIS) assessments.

Utilizes professional skills and judgment in assessing and treating disorders of speech, voice, language, hearing and swallowing to prevent, identify, evaluate, and minimize the effects of such disorders and conditions. The candidate must be a Speech Language Pathologist who is licensed by and currently registered with the New York State Education Department or who has been issued a valid permit by that department.

p>As aSpeech Language Therapist, you will evaluate communication and swallowing needs, develop treatment plans, provide therapeutic interventions, track patient progress, and educate families—while collaborating closely with the interdisciplinary care team.

We provide skilled nursing, rehabilitation, and non-skilled services to community members needing support with ADLs and communication challenges related to physical, developmental, or cognitive conditions.
