Your Responsibilities as an Engineer 1 - Staff Engineer: Under the direction of a Project Manager, Senior Project Engineer, or Project Engineer, perform the following items for transportation, water distribution, pumping, and treatment systems; wastewater collection, pumping, and treatment; stream and stormwater conveyance; stormwater management and design; or land planning and development: Design calculations; Bid documents including specifications and drawings; State, federal, and local permit applications; Perform fieldwork such as surveying, GPS data collection, infrastructure inspections and assessment, water sampling, traffic counts, and construction observation; Contribute to reports describing the objectives, methods, results, and conclusions from field efforts.
