Over the following year and a half/two years, the name was changed to Grease Monkey, after becoming part of a national franchisor, giving us big company benefits like training tools, national vendor agreements, technology, out of State training locations, etc, while maintaining our local ownership and complete independence. Founded in 1978 and headquartered in Denver, Colorado, the Grease Monkey® brand currently operates more than 300 centers internationally with operations in Mexico, China, Colombia and Saudi Arabia.
