While working in this position, the employee is required to constantly work indoors, frequently work outdoors, walk on uneven ground, work in dusty and noisy environments; occasionally works in hot temperatures (above 100 degrees), cold temperatures (below 32 degrees), and works in dirty environments; and rarely works at heights, works near machinery, chemicals or fumes, and has potential exposure to infectious diseases. The duties of this position include: facilitating safe and efficient operation of a variety of recreation programs and services; creation and development of recreational programs; actively leading groups of students in recreation classes; coordination with user groups, contractors, part-time staff and volunteers, maintenance of records and reports; inventory and upkeep of materials and equipment.
