The Business Account Specialist plays a vital role in delivering exceptional service to these customers by providing quotes, contracts, and open account support—all with the goal of building trust, loyalty, and long-term relationships. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys helping customers find the right solutions, collaborating with internal teams to ensure a positive customer experience, and seeking opportunities that benefit both the customer and the organization. While much of the work is service-driven and relationship-focused, you will also contribute to thoughtful account growth through customer follow-up, outreach, and participation in trade shows and events. This position is primarily in-office in our Galesburg, IL location, with occasional hybrid days, and light travel. It offers a stable, salaried compensation structure with annual bonus and opportunities for professional growth. Responsibilities:<ul><li>Provide knowledgeable, responsive pre-order support including quotes, product information, and account setup</li><li>Serve as a reliable point of contact for business account customers, ensuring timely and accurate assistance</li><li>Conduct customer outreach via phone and email to strengthen relationships and support account development</li><li>Review account activity to identify opportunities to better support customer needs</li><li>Represent Blick at trade shows and events (some lifting required, infrequent overnight travel)</li><li>Perform additional related duties as assigned</li><li>Ability to work Monday through Friday, 8a to 4:30p with Overtime as needed</li></ul>Skills & Qualifications:<ul><li>Education:<ul><li>Bachelor’s degree preferred (business, marketing, art, or related field), or</li><li>Associate’s degree with 2 years of related experience, or</li><li>High school diploma with 5 years of related experience</li></ul></li><li>Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a clear customer-service mindset</li><li>Professional, courteous, and approachable demeanor</li><li>Highly organized with strong attention to detail and follow-through</li><li>Comfortable managing multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy</li><li>Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel</li><li>Solid typing, 10-key, math, and basic analytical skills</li></ul>Pay Rate: The pay range below is provided in compliance with state/city specific laws. POSITION TITLE ControllerREPORTS TO Vice President of Finance and FacilitiesCFO POSITION SUMMARYTo directly manage, monitor, and implement the overall accounting, financial planning, financial management, and administrative functions necessary for College operations. Prepare all major internal financial reports and assist the CFO in the presentation and interpretation to executive management, the Finance Committee, and the Board.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONSAdminister and monitor the financial systems to ensure the Colleges finances are maintained in an accurate and timely manner. Oversee the accounting and payroll systems to ensure effective processes and compliance, timely reporting, and accuracy of information. Preparation of a complete set of monthly internal financial statements, statement of financial position, statement of activities, and statement of cash flows. Additionally, provide monthly budget control reports. Coordinate annual financial and compliance audit with outside auditors. Preparation of necessary work papers and schedules for the various audits.Financial Compliance<ul><li>403b and Federal Form 990</li><li>Preparation of annual financial statements in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles</li><li>Maintain proper internal financial controls and segregation of duties</li><li>Prepare and submit all IPEDS NCAA reporting, etc.</li></ul>Provide efficient and effective office management.ADDITIONAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESEstablish and maintain controls over cash and cash equivalent accounts and reconciliation of general ledger accounts to subsidiary ledgers. Coordinate and assist in the preparation of the annual operating and capital budget process. Monitoring of department and line item budgets and the underlying purchase order process and procedures. Assist student account manager with delinquent and outstanding accounts. Proper accounting for donor restricted funds and College investments.SUPERVISORY REQUIREMENTSManage and supervise the Student Account Manager, Senior Accountant, Accounting Clerk, and co-manage the student worker.
