Desirable Qualifications: • Demonstrated knowledge of the Native Hawaiian language, history, politics, culture, practices, and contemporary issues • Ability to use writing assignments and integrate teaching of appropriate thinking skills into course content as an integral part of students classroom learning activities • Teaching experience, preferably in a community college, in Automotive Technology courses • Strong background (academic and/or professional experience) in automotive technology • Knowledge of computers and their applications to automotive vehicles, teaching, and laboratory work • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with others and to communicate clearly • Experience in working with people from various social, cultural, and ethnic backgrounds and with diverse academic interests and abilities • Knowledge of and experience with alternative delivery modes of instruction.
