Overview:
Kimley-Horn's Fort Lauderdale, Florida (FL) office is seeking a engineer or landside planner with 5+ years of experience to join their Aviation team! This is not a remote position. Our Fort Lauderdale Aviation team has experienced sustained practice growth. The team is seeking someone creative and driven to manage airport landside planning and implementation projects for a growing team serving a strong market. Responsibilities:
You will have the opportunity to assist with the development of airport master plans, statewide system plans, on-call aviation planning services, and support and collaborate with multiple project managers and team members in general planning tasks. Responsibilities may include:<ul><li>Contribute to the production and delivery of multi-modal transportation systems planning, including data collection, analysis, and technical reporting at airports and seaports.</li><li>Support all steps of an aviation planning project, including:<ul><li>Initial data gathering and needs identification</li><li>Goals setting and visioning</li><li>Development of recommended strategies and design concepts</li><li>Prioritization and cost estimating</li><li>Development of technical and public-facing documentation and presentations</li></ul></li></ul>

Qualifications:
<ul><li>5+ years of work experience as an aviation planner</li><li>Bachelors or Masters Degree in a relevant field</li><li>PE or AICP Certification preferred</li><li>Strong writing/verbal skills</li><li>Working knowledge of graphic software programs (Adobe Photoshop, Sketchup, InDesign, Illustrator)</li><li>Working knowledge of GIS/ArcView</li><li>Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal skills</li><li>Positive attitude and a strong work ethic</li><li>Strong sense of urgency and self-initiative to meet client deadlines</li><li>Detail-oriented team player with an ability to contribute to a positive work environment</li><li>Ability to work independently and as a team</li></ul>
