Responsibilities: <ul><li>Support the project management team with subcontractor and supplier coordination, material tracking, file management </li></ul> <ul><li>Assist the project management team with progress updates and reporting for client review </li></ul> <ul><li>Aids in document control processes such as drafting submittals, RFIs and change orders </li></ul> <ul><li>Assist the preparation of bid packages, helping to solicit and evaluate subcontractor bids </li></ul> <ul><li>Conduct various preconstruction procedures by reviewing proposals, specifications, and drawings, executing material takeoffs, preparing cost estimates, and attending internal team meetings and client walkthroughs </li></ul> <ul><li>Collaborate with onsite superintendents and field-based teams to assist with project layout, construction drawing, trade coordination, verification of site conditions, safety, and quality control inspections </li></ul> <ul><li>Actively participate in social and networking events, weekly training and educational classes, and HITT corporate responsibility activities </li></ul> Qualifications: <ul><li>Current student pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree from an accredited university within the construction, engineering, or business concentrations </li></ul> <ul><li>Previous industry internship, volunteer work, or work experiences is a plus </li></ul> <ul><li>Passion for construction and general contracting industry </li></ul> <ul><li>Ability to work approximately 40 hours per week for the duration of the 10-week program </li></ul> <ul><li>Ability to successfully manage multiple, competing priorities in a deadline-driven environment </li></ul> <ul><li>Demonstrated ability to learn project-specific software systems, including Microsoft Office 365 (ex. <h2>Role Overview</h2>Sodexo is proud to partner with Keiser University's Flagship Campus in beautiful West Palm Beach, FL in the Ground Up Build for two 5-story student housing buildings. We need an experienced Construction Project Manager-Superintendent to LEAD the construction of TWO  5-story buildings, one residential and one academic with laboratories. Our professionally polished leader will partner with and oversee our Construction Manager. Valid Driver's License with clear background is required.5-years of experience managing new construction projects up to $30M in value preferred. In this role, you will shape construction management capabilities, drive continuous improvement, and ensure exceptional project delivery for client. <h2>What You'll Do</h2><ul><li>Act as Construction Superintendent</li><li>Assist in collaborating with our Architect and Engineering team to Lead the construction of TWO 5-story buildings, one residential and one academic with laboratories   </li><li>Update data  all costing estimation, contract negotiation and vendor activities, and software (Procore preferred)</li><li>Organize construction personnel-vendors and ensure that materials and equipment resources are delivered </li><li>Oversee project construction for compliance with specifications, local codes and installation techniques</li><li>Execute all activities with planning commissions and governing bodies for permits</li><li>Manage Budgeting, Estimating and Scheduling TWO $30M Construction Projects</li></ul><h2>What We Offer</h2>Compensation is fair and equitable, partially determined by a candidate's education level or years of relevant experience.
