RESPONSIBILITIES: Provides high-quality customer service to a diverse body of students, faculty, staff, and community members either in person, online, or by phone Supervises student assistants and reports problems to a supervisor Responsible for opening and/or closing the library, depending on the schedule Uses the library's integrated library system for various circulation transactions including but not limited to charging/ discharging library materials and registering community borrowers Has a thorough knowledge of library circulation services policies, practices, and procedures Assists patrons with directional questions and responds to simple questions regarding the use of Library resources, such as locating items in the online public access catalog, using the Library website to locate information about services, etc. Number of Available Positions: 3-5 The Warren Hunting Smith Library is establishing a pool of applicants to fill our per diem (part-time) Access Services Technician position.
