Responsibilities:
<ul><li>Obtain vital signs, height, weight and demographic data</li><li>Assist patients with personal and daily care, such as bathing, oral hygiene, shaving and hair care</li><li>Assist with urinary catheter removal, finger stick blood sugars, bladder scans, routine urine and stool specimen collection, ostomy care and emptying drainage receptacles/tubes </li><li>Remove peripheral IV’s as directed by RN (may not remove any IV’s located in antecubital fossa or higher)</li><li>Deliver meals and snacks, feed patients who are unable to feed themselves and document oral intake</li><li>Turn and position immobile patients safely while maintaining proper body alignment; participate in mobility program</li><li>Transport patients to designated areas, such as to and from various treatment centers</li></ul>

Qualifications:
<ul><li>Current enrollment in an accredited nursing school (ADN or BSN program) - must provide proof of completion of the first year/fundamentals of nursing (or equivalent)</li><li>Knowledge of basic nursing techniques and procedures and aseptic practices </li><li>Requires the ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, to follow written and verbal instructions, and to maintain effective working relations with others including patients, families, physicians and other hospital associates. </li><li>BLS certification required upon hire</li></ul>

The Student, will be successful in developing competent and professional skills in both individual and group facilitation as a licensed trainee. HOW YOU'LL SUCCEED <ul><li>Complete two weeks, on-site Signature Health orientation at corporate location.</li><li>Be someone the company can rely on to complete responsibilities which include patient care activities commensurate with their education, ability, and experience. </li><li>All activities are to be conducted under the supervision of an identifiable, appropriately credentialed Signature Health clinical staff member. </li><li>Represents Signature Health professionally, and ethically identifies self as a student to all entities throughout the academic placement period.</li><li>Build strong knowledge of team-based care by engaging in and assisting in coordination of care.</li><li>Be someone who colleagues can rely on to assist in the treatment plan development and ongoing treatment of patients, while maintaining accurate quality. </li><li>Maintains all aspects of HIPAA, promoting patient confidentiality and right to privacy.</li><li>Provides education to patients and family regarding diagnosis, services and integrated health promotion.</li><li>Provides comprehensive and evidence-based clinical services, care, and preventative services to patients.</li><li>Responsible for and meets all productivity and documentation requirements; as outlined by the organization and the student's academic institution.</li><li>Accepts all learning experiences presented and utilizes the academic placement opportunity to explore professional/career specializations.</li></ul>RequirementsKNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE <ul><li>Current active enrollment in a graduate level program & course requiring onsite direct patient interaction hours with a minimum of 1 clinical placement experience completed.</li><li>Must be in good standing with their academic institution and comply with all Signature Health policy and procedure.</li><li>Registered with the Ohio CSWMFT Board as a Counselor Trainee (CT), Social Work Trainee (SWT) or Marriage & Family Therapy Trainee (MFTT).
