REPRESENTATIVE DUTIES: <ul><li>Clean up area assigned daily includingsweeping, wiping, dusting and other general light cleaning tasks. </li><li>Move, open, empty and dispose of boxes and cartons. </li><li>Make inter-office deliveries and perform other messenger tasks as required. </li><li>Use, maintain and store assigned tools and equipment properly. </li><li>Perform clerical functions as required. </li><li>Maintain standard safety practices. </li><li>Perform related duties as assigned. </li></ul>KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES: KNOWLEDGE OF: <ul><li>Methods, equipment and materials used in general maintenance work. </li><li>Cleaning materials, disinfectants and equipment used in custodial work. </li><li>Proper methods of storing equipment, materials and supplies. </li><li>Basic record-keeping techniques. </li></ul>ABILITY TO: <ul><li>Operate equipment used in general maintenance and custodial work. </li><li>Maintain classrooms, offices and other school facilities in a clean, safe and secure condition. • Use specialized cleaning equipment and supplies safely and efficiently. </li><li>Move and arrange furniture and equipment for meetings and special events. </li><li>Report safety hazards and need for maintenance and repair. </li><li>Observe health and safety regulations. </li><li>Understand and follow oral and written directions. </li><li>Perform heavy physical labor. </li></ul> EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Any combination equivalent to: be enrolled in high school, a high school diploma, G.E.D. Certificate or demonstrated progress toward obtaining a G.E.D. as required by Kentucky law.

When an absence is anticipated by the teacher, the teacher shall leave his/her lesson plan(s), along with instructions for the substitute teacher, with the Principal/designee due to the fact that an absence may be of an emergency nature, the teacher shall leave emergency lesson plans with the Principal/designee. <h5>Teacher-High School </h5>Reports To: Principal Basic Function: To help students acquire those knowledges, skills and attitudes that society feels will contribute to their development into mature, able and responsible men and women. Representative Duties: <ul><li>Meets and instructs assigned classes in the location at the times designated using courses of study developed by the faculty and approved by the Board. </li><li>Works with faculty colleagues to develop instructional programs that will meet the individual needs, interests and abilities of the students. </li><li>Maintains a classroom environment that is conducive to learning and appropriate to the maturity and interests of the students. </li><li>Prepares for classes assigned and shows written evidence of preparation by maintaining lesson plans. These plans plus any instructions are to be used by the substitute teacher when the teacher is absent. When an absence is anticipated by the teacher, the teacher shall leave his/her lesson plan(s), along with instructions for the substitute teacher, with the Principal/designee due to the fact that an absence may be of an emergency nature, the teacher shall leave emergency lesson plans with the Principal/designee. </li><li>Guides the learning process through the translation of Board approved curriculum goals and develops clear learning objectives to meet the goals. </li><li>Employs a variety of instructional techniques and instructional media consistent with the physical limitations of the location provided and the needs and learning styles of the individual or groups involved. </li><li>Strives to implement by instruction and action the district's philosophy of education and instructional goals and objectives. </li><li>Assesses the accomplishments of students on a regular basis and provides progress reports to students and reports to parents as required. </li><li>Assesses the learning needs of students on a regular basis, seeking the assistance of District specialists as required. </li><li>Takes all necessary and reasonable precautions to protect students, equipment, materials, and facilities. </li><li>Maintains accurate, complete, and correct records and safeguards their confidentiality as required by law, District policy and administrative procedures. </li><li>Plays a supportive role in implementing all policies and rules governing student conduct for the classroom and school-related activities as set forth by the Student Code of Conduct. </li><li>Makes provision for being available to students and parents for education-related purposes outside the instructional day. </li><li>Strives to maintain and improve professional competence by participating in planning/implementing professional development education activities. </li><li>Attends staff meetings, serves on SBDM committees and participates in the sponsorship of pupil activities. </li><li>Maintains a professional awareness of current literature related to assignment, including working knowledge of state and federal law, Board policy and administrative regulations. </li><li>Performs other duties consistent with the position assigned as may be requested by the Principal. </li></ul>Knowledge and Abilities: <ul><li>Ability to work effectively with students, peers and adults. </li><li>Ability to communicate effectively with students, parents, and faculty. </li><li>Ability to lift up to 25 pounds. </li></ul>Education and Experience: <ul><li>Holds a bachelor's or higher degree and the required Kentucky certificate for the assigned position. </li></ul>Salary Table 1 Board Approved 02/19/08
