Salary: $15.00 Hourly Location : UCMO - Warrensburg, MO Job Type: Student University Worker Job Number: S99245 Division: Facilities - Grounds Opening Date: 05/12/2026 Description Under the general direction of the Grounds Supervisor or designated staff, assist the Facilities Planning & Operations Grounds Department with maintaining the appearance, cleanliness, and general upkeep of university grounds, landscaping, and outdoor campus areas. Examples of Duties Duties Include: Assist with the maintenance and upkeep of campus grounds and landscaped areas, to include: -60% <ul><li>Mow, trim, edge, rake, weed, mulch, and water lawns and landscaped areas. </li><li>Remove litter and debris from sidewalks, parking lots, roadways, and outdoor spaces. </li><li>Assist with planting flowers, shrubs, trees, and other landscaping materials. </li><li>Operate basic hand tools and grounds equipment in accordance with safety procedures. </li><li>Perform routine cleaning and maintenance of tools and equipment. </li><li>Assist with leaf collection and seasonal grounds maintenance activities. </li><li>Perform all work in accordance with established safety procedures. </li><li>Comply with all university safety and risk management policies and procedures. </li><li>Report all accidents, injuries, and unsafe conditions in a timely manner. </li><li>Participate in safety meetings and assigned training as required. </li><li>May perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned. </li></ul>Assist with campus event support and general labor assignments, to include: -20% <ul><li>Assist with setup and teardown for university functions and special events. </li><li>Support departmental operations through general labor and cleanup activities. </li></ul>Assist with seasonal and weather-related operations, to include: -15% <ul><li>Assist with snow and ice removal operations as directed. </li><li>Spread salt or ice melt materials on sidewalks and entryways. </li><li>Perform weather-related cleanup and storm recovery assistance as needed. </li></ul>Complete other duties as assigned by supervisory staff. -5% Typical Qualifications Education<ul><li>High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
