Other job functions include:<ol><li>Assist in the preparation and maintenance of instructional materials and activities.</li><li>Assist with direct instruction (i.e., reading stories, tutoring, administering assessments, implementing teacher plans).</li><li>Assist with record keeping.</li><li>Assist children with personal physical needs, including toileting.</li><li>Perform light clerical skills (i.e., typing, filing, data processing, operating a copy machine).</li><li>Operate audio-visual equipment (i.e., VCR, TV, recorder).</li><li>Grade papers.</li><li>Monitor large groups of children (i.e., cafeteria, bus room).</li><li>Prepare bulletin boards.</li><li>Assist in the office.</li><li>Assists children in eating.</li><li>Serves meals and refreshments to children.</li><li>Helps children to walk, board buses, put on prosthetic appliances, dress and perform other physical activities as their needs require.</li><li>Maintains discipline.</li><li>Wheels children to classes, lunchroom, treatment rooms and other areas of the building.</li></ol>Staff Relationship: Reports directly to the School PrincipalTerms of Employment: Full-time Educational Assistants work on the days that teachers work at their school. Salary and benefits set by Board. Non-exempt. Part-time Mid-Day Assistants work a maximum 4 hours per day, only on days children attend school, no benefits, and hourly rate set by Board. Qualifications:
