<div><div style="text-align:justify"> Job Summary: The School Finance Partner plays a critical role in supporting schools and students by monitoring, analyzing, and advising on budget decisions. This role reports to the Manager of School Finance in the Financial Services group. It involves working with multiple funding sources, ensuring compliance with state and federal requirements, and supporting school leadership with financial guidance. Work Location: In-person position based in Grand Rapids, MI. Key Responsibilities:</div><ul><li style="text-align:justify"> Work with school leadership and departments to develop, review, and adjust budgets.</li><li style="text-align:justify"> Provide regular updates on spending to support proactive decision-making.</li><li style="text-align:justify"> Monitor school budgets for sustainability, compliance, and program alignment.</li><li style="text-align:justify"> Prepare and submit accurate financial reports, statements, and student record information using multiple systems.</li><li style="text-align:justify"> Stay current with federal, state, and local accounting rules, laws, and regulations.</li><li style="text-align:justify"> Create and submit grant applications and amendments based on school and student needs.</li><li style="text-align:justify"> Represent school financial needs with departments of education, school boards, and authorizers.</li><li style="text-align:justify"> Communicate effectively with schools, vendors, departments, and state agencies while delivering excellent customer service.</li><li style="text-align:justify"> Assess complex financial situations and recommend solutions independently or with the team.</li><li style="text-align:justify"> Assist with programmatic and financial audits.</li><li style="text-align:justify"> Maintain strict confidentiality with sensitive information.</li><li style="text-align:justify"> Perform other duties as assigned.</li></ul><div style="text-align:justify"> Basic Qualifications:</div><ul><li style="text-align:justify"> Bachelor's degree required (accounting, business, or related field preferred).</li><li style="text-align:justify"> Experience in business, accounting, or related field.</li><li style="text-align:justify"> Strong communication skills (written and verbal).</li><li style="text-align:justify"> Self-directed, motivated, and growth-oriented.</li><li style="text-align:justify"> Collaborative team player with proven interpersonal skills.</li><li style="text-align:justify"> Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.</li><li style="text-align:justify"> Ability to analyze and summarize large datasets.</li><li style="text-align:justify"> Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.</li></ul><div style="text-align:justify"> Non-Negotiable Requirements:</div><ul><li style="text-align:justify"> Bachelor's degree (Accounting, Business, or related field preferred).</li><li style="text-align:justify"> Experience in business, accounting, or related field.</li><li style="text-align:justify"> Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data analysis.</li><li style="text-align:justify"> Strong written and verbal communication skills.</li></ul></div>

NPC pairs academic excellence with a strong, Christ-centered environment to reach our mission of "equipping students to impact their world for Jesus Christ." POSITION SUMMARYServe as a High School Personal Finance Teacher at NorthPointe Christian High School and actively engage in NorthPointe Christian’s mission of “Equipping students to impact their world for Jesus Christ.” This is a part-time to full-time position for the 2026-2027 school year.TEACHER RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES<ul><li>Integrate Biblical principles and Scripture into daily teaching.</li><li>Teach and support the School’s Foundational Statements and mission through word and deed.</li><li>Minister to students through prayer, encouragement, and wise counsel.</li><li>Establish and communicate clear objectives for students per the curriculum goals and policies of NorthPointe Christian Schools. Learn and implement new curriculum when necessary.</li><li>Create and submit daily lesson plans every week.</li><li>Plan learning experiences that help each student achieve the stated objectives. Use class time well with activities that engage students' attention and have a clear purpose.</li><li>Prepare lessons, units, and projects that are suitable to the age level and developmental needs of your students. Adapt teaching methods, strategies, and materials to meet the needs and learning styles of students.</li><li>Create, assign, and grade assessments and assignments for students.</li><li>Define responsible Christian behavior for students, including guidelines and consequences for good and bad behavior in the classroom. Create and model an environment of respect and care.</li><li>Help students learn self-discipline through appropriate encouragement, correction, and counseling. Promote a healthy peer environment among students.</li><li>Communicate positively and regularly with parents and guardians about their child’s progress, needs, grades, successes, and challenges via phone call, email, or in person.</li><li>Professionally represents the school in interactions with parents, community, staff, and students. Remain professional in attire and behavior.</li><li>Set up the classroom and regularly clean and maintain it as a safe and effective learning environment.</li><li>Provide supervision to students in the classroom, and hallways. Follow safety protocols for where students can be and how to secure the building.</li><li>Be timely in reporting to work and when at work, assure students are also timely when going to and from specials and other school activities.</li><li>Participate in required meetings, school-wide training, and events as requested by the administration and required by the State.</li><li>Maintain appropriate certifications and training hours as required.</li><li>Work constructively with colleagues and administration by building relationships, contributing ideas, listening to the ideas of others, and collaborating to best meet the needs of students. Collaborate with grade level team in areas such as sharing field trips, lessons, theme ideas, etc.</li><li>Collaborate closely with ESS and MTSS teams regarding student needs and interventions.</li><li>Participate in a staff committee.</li><li>Carry out the procedures and protocols in the employee handbook and respect decisions made by leadership.</li><li>Maintain open communication with leadership regarding questions, concerns, and needs.</li></ul>QUALIFICATIONS<ul><li>Active Christian in agreement with and willing to sign the NorthPointe Christian School’s Foundational statements.</li><li>Valid Teaching Certificate. Bachelor’s Degree, minimum.</li><li>Reliable transportation to and from work.</li><li>Able to pass required background checks and fingerprint screening.</li></ul>SKILLS<ul><li>Successfully work with a variety of students, individually and in small groups.</li><li>Adapt classroom work for the purpose of providing students with instructional materials that address individualized learning plans.</li><li>Be equipped for a 1:1 MacBook system, well-versed in differentiated instruction and project-based learning. </li><li>Adapt to perform a variety of duties, often changing from one task to another of a different nature without loss of efficiency.</li><li>Exhibit the verbal ability to understand the meaning of words, the ideas associated with them, and the ability to convey them to others clearly using oral expression and comprehension.</li></ul>PHYSICAL DEMANDSThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
