DescriptionThe Department of Financial Aid is accepting applications for its Financial Aid Administrative Assistant position.Examples of Duties<ul><li>Assist in the daily operations of the financial aid office by managing routine administrative tasks.</li><li>Organize and maintain financial aid files and documentation, ensuring accuracy and compliance with federal, state, and institutional regulations.</li><li>Help in processing financial aid applications, including verifying documentation and inputting data into financial aid software.</li><li>Serve as the first point of contact for students, parents, and staff, addressing inquiries about financial aid policies, procedures, and eligibility.</li><li>Coordinate and schedule appointments for financial aid counselors with students and families.</li><li>Input and update student information in the financial aid management system, ensuring data integrity.</li><li>Prepare reports and documentation as needed for audits, assessments, and financial aid reviews.</li><li>Work closely with other departments, such as admissions and registrar, to ensure accurate information sharing and efficient processing of financial aid.</li><li>Monitor and order office supplies and materials necessary for the financial aid office's functioning.</li><li>Attend training sessions to stay updated on financial aid regulations and office policies.</li><li>Other duties assigned.</li></ul>Typical Qualifications<ul><li>Associate's Degree required.</li><li>Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to explain financial aid processes to students and families.</li><li>Proficient in computer skills, including experience with financial aid software and Microsoft Office Suite.</li><li>Ability to work effectively with a diverse student population and maintain confidentiality.</li><li>Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.</li></ul>
