Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: 1)performing firefighting work that involves the use of firefighting and fire prevention techniques and methods such as performing search and rescue, operating hose lines and performing ventilation; 2) scheduling and/or conducting inspections, test and or preventive maintenance service on fire apparatus or firefighting equipment and 3) assisting in a fire prevention program, emergency medical technician program or hazardous material response program. DoD Certificates and NREMT License : You MUST submit a copy of the following: Fire Officer III, Fire Inspector II, Fire Instructor II and HAZMAT Incident Command certified through DoD Fire and Emergency Services Certification System, International Fire Service Accreditation Congress (IFSAC), or the Fire Service Professional Qualifications System (PRO-Board) AND a State of Illinois or National Registry EMT License .
