HOUR

Pay:  Casual position.  New graduates with no experience who have finished their first semester of clinicals start at $26/hour.  Employees are eligible for a bonus after one full year of employment. This position is required to pick up open shifts (two regular and two on-call shifts) per month.  Our on-call schedules are posted ahead of time for staff to select the shifts that work with their schedule.  Open shifts available to pick up vary between 8 am- 730 pm, Monday-Friday and 8 am- 5 pm, Saturday and Sunday. You. You are an RT student who has completed your first semester of clinicals or an ARRT registered technologist looking for a casual position.  You are interested in learning basic nursing duties.  You are eager to hone your skills and learn from others. As an RT Student or Float, you need to know how to:  <ul><li>Perform X-rays in accordance with Primary Health policies and procedures</li><li>Display the highest quality customer service on the phone and in person</li><li>Assist Front Office Staff in managing details of patients, schedules, and referrals</li><li>Assist in the examination and treatment of patients under the direction of a provider and/or physician</li><li>Provide clinical triage/communication as defined by protocol or per provider instructions</li><li>Prepare treatment rooms for examination of patients, including sterilization, cleaning, and checks on medical equipment</li><li>Prepare basic laboratory tests on-premises and prepare laboratory specimens</li><li>Perform phlebotomy involved with the proper collection, labeling, processing, and distribution of specimens for laboratory testing from patients of all ages</li><li>Assist the back office in managing patient flow, paperwork, and documentation</li><li>Provide quality patient education based on assessment of needs</li><li>Perform tests and procedures as ordered</li><li>Accurately document patient encounters and interventions performed</li><li>Relay provider instructions to patients</li><li>Assist with all non-direct patient care tasks (autoclaving, stocking room, scanning records, mailing, etc.)</li><li>Aid in identifying methods of improving patient care</li><li>Assist or lead in emergency situations</li><li>Maintain confidentiality regarding patient and business functions of the organization, i.e., HIPAA</li><li>Perform other duties as assigned</li></ul> Your experience. But we also expect excellence, which is why we require:  <ul><li>Qualified applicants to be ARRT registered or eligible to sit for the registry exam </li><li>Customer service-oriented attitude/behavior</li><li>Computer proficiency. Ability to use applicable software as required to perform the essential functions of the job.</li><li>Recommended vaccines to include annual Influenza, Hep B, TDaP, MMR, Varicella, and TB</li></ul> Your next move.
