Our openings are designed to fit into your school schedule, to see Milton CAT from the inside and decide if it’s the place to launch your career. The Parts Internship gives you the ability to learn and grow in several areas of our Parts Department. Training will be provided in areas such as Parts Warehouse, Operations and Parts Counter. This internship provides an excellent base for a career in Parts Operations or Supply Chain. Interns are considered valuable members of our team, and therefore earn benefits including:<ul><li>Real world experience</li><li>Competitive salaries</li><li>Consideration for full-time employment when you graduate</li></ul>Pay Rate:  $18.00/hour

Qualifications:
<ul><li>High school diploma or GED equivalent</li><li>Must be currently enrolled as a student in a public, private or accredited academic institution.</li><li>Fast learner with a 3.0 or higher GPA on a 4.0 scale</li><li>Excellent computer and related software skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook)</li><li>Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.</li><li>Demonstrated leadership ability, and team-building skills are all advantages</li><li>Organization and time management skills</li><li>Versatility and the flexibility to adapt to new situations are essential</li><li>Able to commute to work location on a daily basis</li></ul>This job description is not intended to be all-inclusive. Milton CAT is the Caterpillar Dealer for the Northeast region of the United States. Our territory includes Massachusetts, Rhode Island, Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont and upstate New York.
We are a private company, founded in 1960, owned by the family who started the business fifty years ago. Since those early days, Milton CAT has grown to 12 locations, and over 1,000 employees. The company has two main divisions; Earthmoving and Power Systems.

The Power Systems Division sells, rents and supports power generators and air compressors, and has a specialized engineering group that develops customized power systems. Those Milton CAT locations close to water have a marine focus; an industrial group markets engines to manufacturers to power their own machines and the on-highway truck engine business is an important component for all our locations. Our Power Systems service technicians also work on bus and mobile home engines and they support natural gas distribution working at pipeline compressor stations.

There are opportunities to apply your knowledge in areas that include finance, marketing, operations, warehousing and equipment repair and service.
